What has your experience been with MPGs and the roof rack when theres nothing on it? I've been debating if I want one, but I remember when I got one for my SUV it was a good 5mpg hit on the highway, 8mpg if you loaded anything on it.

Here's what I did...um...not today...but this week. I changed colors! And gens. My driveway used to look like this...

    IMG_0721.jpg

    Now it looks like this...

    IMG_0723.jpg

    Full stock for now.

    It's my first 3rd Gen after owning a 2010 2nd Gen and a 2014 2nd Gen.

This truck is way too shiny. It has yet to meet Plasti-Dip!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Even with nothing on it, you'll know it's there. I'm seeing about a 1 mpg hit into the wind (a bit less in crosswinds), with the wind it's fine.

One other thing I've noticed with the rack is it seems to be interfering with radio reception. Not a terrible interference, but I lose reception easier than before the rack was installed.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
That last little kicker just where the prop shaft begins looks like a real show stopper.
A smooth bottom like that would be a boon here in snow and MUD country!
I've been high centered in both many times less that two miles from home. It's not purrddy ;-)

Are you referring to the stock exhaust?

Didn't feel like rerouting and for my purposes it "should" do just fine.

I had my new wheels and tires installed this morning. I went with the 2020 style TRD Pro wheels and 265/70r16 Toyo Open Country AT IIIs. I’m very happy with the new look! I can confirm that the design for the center caps sucks and there's a good reason that they're on perpetual backorder.

So you're saying I should go with the corvette and new balance sneakers instead of the Porsche? I bought it for like $40 long ago, left a baseball hat on it and the velcro pulled up. It still serves its purpose. :notsure:

I was lucky not only once but twice , I passed a gas station in my dad’s pickup heading out of a town on vacation when I realized I was on empty. I found a place to turn around a couple of miles down the road then the truck started sputtering so I floored it got going as fast as I could before the engine stopped and had enough momentum to pull right up to the pump. The second time I ran out on the interstate (on the roll ) popped it in to neutral, got off , had a green light, turned down a hill and turned into a gas station also rolled up to a pump. I was young and dumb then I would never try it now.

I washed mine this past weekend. I’ve worked all week up the hill in Tahoe and each day it’s gotten covered in pollen

    Yeash!
I’m reading that the pine pollen in your area have skyrocketed in the last two or three years due to the extremely wet winter’s ya’ll have gotten…

Pines are loving it and are showing it lol!
In Brooklyn, I’m resigned to the fact that during April and May, my truck is really yellow, not red. :D
Stupid city planners and their misguided planting of all boy trees in urban areas….sigh…
