Pretty much all motorcyclists here in rural Northern Michigan wave at each other.
But this is Michigan, and we're so happy it's not snowing we even wave at mopeds.

 

And how would you happen to know that?

 

We can't use that one. That's the Subaru wave.

 

I live in rural NC everybody waves to everybody else no matter what they are driving or even walking down the road. When I leave the county nobody waves not even other Tacos. I have heard of the Jeep wave and the ducks so . . . . . yeah I don't want Taco owners to go down that road.

 

Reminds me the first time I was in the Pentagon, I thought my arm would break from having to salute all the officers.

 

I didn't buy a 3rd gen just to be included in some homosexual subculture of people. Its bad enough that some of these 3rd gens are just as bad as the Jeepers with accessorizing the absolute shit out of their trucks with 80% of the items not being used or even having a use.

I wave cause I'm born, raised and still living in south GA. Its just how things are here, but I don't wave just cause its a fellow Tacoma dude.

And by all means, if it ever gets to where folks are putting rubber ducks on Toyotas, I'll have a brand new 2017 Tacoma for sale!!!!

 

I'm thinking its the same situation as someone who is trying to overuse a new slang phrase in school, hoping it will catch on.

 

I had a CJ7 for about 5 years. I loved and miss that thing. I'm Toyota through and through, but that CJ was fun and enjoyable and I'd love to have another and probably will one day. But the wave crap was something serious. There's some fellas that are absolutely adamant about it.

I had a similar situation at a gas station. Dude approaches me at the pumps. He had a Jeep JL with the angry birds grille on it and hindsight, that really told me all I needed to know about the guy. The conversation was as follows:

Guy: "Hey bro, you must be new to the Jeep world, you didn't wave!!"

Me: * As I'm leaned over from the outside jamming it back into gear so she doesn't roll off.* "Ahhh nah, not at all man. I've had this one for a few years and I had 2 YJs prior to this, but let me ask ya this... Do you know the difference between leafs and coils?"

Guy: "Ahhhhh... Can't say that I do."

Me: "I figured. Anyways, I didn't wave cause I was too busy shifting gears and trying to keep this 1986 hunk of shit on the road, don't have the luxury to thumb through the radio stations, wave at random strangers and pick my nose at the same time, but I'll try to do better!!!"

 

next thing you know you are accepting a rubber duck from that taco driver.. and i think @Bigmatt503 may also like rubber ducks

 

Saw a 3rd gen SR AC with the SX package the other day. I waved to that one like I was drowning in the ocean!

First thing that came to mind is jousting with rubber chickens filled with lard.

Was out on my boat this morning and passed another going the opposite direction. We both waved. Common around here, except for the jet-ski crowd.
