heard a loud metal sound coming from front suspension, after inspecting found that the nut on one of the struts seemed to be treaded all the way but the washer was loose and moves up and down freely. Any ideas of what might have cause this and how to fix it?

Is this both sides or just the one? Its hard to tell but it could be 3 things. One your bushing is to short and if that was the case both sides would be like this, or there is no lower washer and the strut is pushing its way through the top mount and bushing. Lastly it could be your aftermarket top mount is skinner that the OE one.

Either way your pulling it apart to find out cause that aint right. When tightening the top nut it should be squishing the bushing as the torque is reached. It shouldnt be bottoming out on the strut.

Its only on the right side, and the top mount has a .5 spacer, im guessing they installed something wrong, at first I installed them and i didn’t have this issue but it felt really stiff and bouncy so i wanted to save time and went to a shop, to lower the clips since they were at the highest level from ready lift. Thank you for your reply.

Yeah. If they had it apart they may have forgot the lower washer. You could try seeing if you can look up with a small mirror or squeezing your phone inbetween the coils to take a picture.

IMG_3426.jpg IMG_3425.jpg I check with my phone as you said, and does seem that the strut that has the loose washer doesn't have the lower washer.
