I also did the same. Need to mow the grass. All this rain = tall grass, and too wet to mow, so gotta get it done. So after that 1.5 hrs is out of the way, 4 day weekend!

 

I've got 5 days off. Gotta do the carpet in that time, so maybe not off..just different work haha.

I’m headed downtown with my buddy Mike to do so research at the local history museum. Mike had one hip replaced a few months ago and the other is scheduled for next month so it’s cut into our adventures recently. By the end of summer he will be 100% and I probably won’t be able to keep up with him.

 

Many years ago a lady told me of a conversation with her very successful landlord.

He came to fix a leaking faucet and she was surprised that with all the buildings he had that he would personally be doing a minor repair.

His answer: "How do you think I got all those buildings?"

Life lesson right there.

 

My old Plant Manager happened to notice a kid get out of his car and toss something almost invisible in the parking lot coming back from lunch, it wasn't trash.

Curious he went out and checked...

Money! The kid had tossed his change in the parking lot.

...and continued to do so every day.

The PM is a cheapskate and went out every day, you might say he cleaned up.

The kid was a terrible employee - said PM "I hated to fire him..."
