I’ve loved my BakFlip Revolver X2. They were kind enough to replace the first one when the vinyl gave way after a couple years. I have the replacement on and after 2 years some of the sections are separating.

Need an alternative. I don’t think my needs justify the expense of a Diamond Back. If there was a group buy on an SE I may be tempted but I’d rarely need to put anything on top.

Anything in between the Revolver and Diamondback (cost and functionality) would probably work.

I have a 2018 DC Long Bed. Thank you for any suggestions!

My Extang trifold lasted 9 years, then they replaced it under warranty with the 2.0 version

Light, easy to remove when needed.

Good to see someone on TW with reasonable expectations on TW.
I have nothing to offer but luck on your search..

had the X2 myself for 7 years - went with the Backflip MX4 trifold. Same install, same lock / unlock mechanism. 3 jumbo panels is more robust than the 30 smaller ones that rolled up, so I expect this to last a lot longer for the same functionality. If anything, you get MORE bed space back with the trifold because it flips up against the cab vs the X2 that takes up some bed space when it's rolled up.

I have the Extang 2.0 as well. Works great but I do wish I could fold it against the cab like the Bakflip.

There would be times that would be an advantage for sure.

But for *my* infrequent need of that feature, I can remove it completely in just a few minutes.
