Knock off all those add-on accessories and the price is more appealing

$5,863 in port option/accessories! And another $1,899 in dealer options/accessories? Is there a list of these must have options/accessories?

Once a dealer advertises a Toyota Tacoma with cloth seats for $60,000, they might as well just have a first grader advertise it at “six-hundred-kajillion dollars”, because that would be equally relevant.

Not sure what’s funnier: the actual prices, or the people attempting to justify the prices…

Just hold off buying until these dealers settle down a bit. It’s a funny thing with the new Tacoma. The dealer here says many people complaining about the high prices and the new engine etc. but they are not buying the lower trims at all. They are giving breaks as high as $3500 to move them off the lot.

However they are selling the premiums faster than they can make them. It’s crazy. All I can figure is people are like “well if I’m going to pay $47k I might as well do $57k and get all the tricks.

there is a decent priced Pro in Terra listed in build phase in Houston this morning. $67 and change. I bet this thing will be marked “Sale Pending” before dark today.

if it was black with black interior I would be on my way to Houston now to start the process… I don’t think realistically a pro is going to sell less that $65,000 it’s just the way of the world. But going out and paying $70 for one with a bedliner, window tint, dashcam, paint protection and window tint is kinda silly. If people pay it, that’s on them. But patients will get you one for $5k less. It’s still insanely priced…

I can understand a dealer having one truck loaded with dealer options to show case what's available. They could then say we can add these on and finance them or will give you 10% off on all accessories at time of purchase etc. But adding a thousands of dollars of options on every truck is just a cash grab.

Yep, I'm looking at $300 a month putting my truck down as a down payment and still like ehhhhh. Hard to go back to payments and interest.

I’m hopeful the used market is decent for these in a couple of years. Even if it’s just 10k off the new price.

Got a chance to test the adaptive cruise control/lane assist/auto pilot feature for a bit today. Blown away. It’s amazing. If you rest your phone or something on the wheel it won’t constantly alert you to touch the wheel as much. This feature will be great for road trips

Wil the 2024 hybrid models be relatively short-lived with the 2025 models arriving in the normal August-September timeframe?

I didn't think these new trucks had auto pilot as an option.

Safety Sense is on all models. It's not an option.

My 100+ mile commute is 95% highway. Lane centering and adaptive cruise is the biggest highlight of 4th gen’s for me.

Not gonna lie, I had no idea these new Tacomas had this feature when I bought it. Pleasantly surprised
