    Wow,

The local dealer (mid Hudson Valley NY) has a Pro listed (not available yet) for ~80K which inc's a $10k markup. Even at $70K, that's pretty steep jump. -"There is an a$$ for every seat" and probably a nice long waiting list.

Well, hopefully even rich people aren't stupid enough to fall for that foolery.

I don't care how glammed up it is or how many TRD stickers it has on it. It's still a low powered mid sized truck with a lousy turning radius.

Alright now let's be realistic Bill. 465 ft/lbs @1700 rpm was HD 2500 territory not that long ago. Take issue with whatever you want but calling these new hybrid models low powered is going to undercut the seriousness of any argument you're making.

Rich people aren't buying these trucks, poor people trying to look like they have money are.

Yea, you're right, I'm wrong. I brain skipped the new numbers for this particular combo.

I will say that to *me*, it's still not worth the basic price, much less the dealer add on. Of course we all know they are fishing and will likely get a hit. Unfortunately.

Maybe not as much as you claim. While I never plan to own a 3g, it's more a style issue. Because I still haven't adjusted to the massive grill opening. Although I have often said that the tailgate was attractive.

Plus the don't have a 5 lug version. And I have no need for the 6 lug size.

I do like crispy Tacos though.

A few years ago when F150 Raptors were 70ish msrp, 10k mark ups were common. Raptor Rs are seeing 25-50K mark ups.

Not that I agree, but for the first ever 4G Tacoma Pro, a dealer's desire to make an extra 10K is not unusual. I'm thinking the Pros/TH will be produced in greater numbers than the Raptors and after a few months they will sell at msrp.

    I believe Karma is real…
Those dealers that have been taking advantage of people can only keep doing it for so long before a recession kicks their ass…
Then it will be a fire sale…

It's not just the dealer's fault. There is no shortage of buyers who have to have the latest shiny object.

No one is being taken advantage of. A TRD Pro is a purely luxury purchase, for all practical purposes it does nothing a base SR can’t do just as well. No one is forced to buy at these prices and anyone who does made the choice that the truck was worth it to them.
