    All together....

Are they worth $280 bucks I don't think so but $190 is a fair deal.

I purchased two Predator 3500’s (on sale for $649.00), converted them to run on propane and when in parallel I can surge close to 7500 and about 5000w continuous. Blows the 5000w away on LP.

What I like about the two 3500’s is I can run only one at night when demands are low and save fuel. On top of that if I happen to have a failure on one, I have a back up.

Another option is the WEN DF250i. Again, I have two, running in parallel they will surge close to 5000w and run a continuous 3000w without breaking a sweat. They are already dual fuel, so you can get both for about the price of one Predator 5000. No electric or remote start but these things sip fuel and when running just one. Actually a bit quieter than the 3500 too…..and I get a back up if one fails.
    https://wenproducts.com/collections...al-fuel-inverter-generator-with-fuel-shut-off

Don’t get me wrong, the Predator 5000 is really nice but the 3500 has a proven reliability reputation as the 5000 hasn’t been out that long……and they did have some issues with the early ones and had a recall.

The major downside to the Predator is the warranty…..only 90 days unless you spend 300+ on the warranty extension. The WEN has a three year warranty.

If you need 240v for say a well pump, you need to look at something else.

A 5kW generator is the worst of both worlds. Too large to conveniently throw in your car or truck, and no 220.

If I was going to get and maintain two generators, having a big one and a small one would seem more practical. I know several folks with harbor freight generators. I have zero faith in their combustion engines. I'd gladly pay more for Honda.

I finally got to use my my new torque adapter.

After using a beam style torque wrench for years, this little jewel is a game changer!

Starts giving you visual/audible feed back as you near the torque settings. Still learning how to set memory torques, but punching in the torque you want is pretty easy,so I doubt I'll even try.

The only thing that I could call a negative is it uses batteries. I use a torque wrench about 3 times a year. My OCD won't allow me to leave the batteries in the unit. Why they don't have a quick hatch for the batteries, I don't know? It takes a micro Phillips screwdriver to remove the hatch cover that holds the batteries. Those screws are easy to lose!

Other than that, I really like this unit.

I did compare it with my beam style T wrench. The results were close enough that I thought the exert required was the same.

We all know butt dynos are wildly variable. Lol.

Thoughts on a HF air impact gun? Strictly for the garage/lug nuts. Don't want to shell out 300+ for a battery setup.

Question for those with more experience. Looking for a HF toolbox. 20% off is a good chunk of change. Now or Father's Day?

According to hfqpdb.com, the lowest it's been with a coupon lately has been $299.99, which if my math is right, 20% off of $350 is about $20 cheaper than that. Seems worth it now?

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
Thats the route I went and its a okay so far. I do make sure to oil it. The "pitsburgh" impact sockets I got from there have held up so far too.
