If anyone has a 245/75/16 tire or tire & rim that isn’t shot, I’m looking for one to upgrade my spare. My spares been under the truck for 11 years so I’m sure it’s too old and dry rotted. I don’t have the most confidence in it, should I ever need to use it. Got a drive to NC this summer and want to be prepared. Bonus points if anyone has a 2nd gen 16” alloy wheel lying around I could mount it on.

    Hi all,

The time has come to part with my C5. I've owned it since mid-2016 and put approximately 12,000 miles on it. I've enjoyed it, but the time has come to go back to my first love. I have title in hand and the car is ready to go. This car is an excellent driver level car

    Specs:
    • Navy Blue Metallic
    • 6-speed manual transmission
    • Dual power Sport seats
    • approximately 85,000 miles (will increase slightly over the season).

    The Good
    • EBCM is good
    • SWPS is good
    • All electronics work (seats, mirrors, etc)
    • 1-4 Skip Shift Disabled
    • Firestone Indy500 Tires are datecoded mid-2020 (purchased in April 2021 - approximately 4,000 miles of usage on them)
    • Harmonic Balancer was replaced with a Summit Racing SFI unit
    • HVAC illumination is good
    • Radio Flyer / Sharp Light Innovations switchback DRL kit
    • Morimoto Elite 3,000K HID Fog Lamp Kit
    • Vosla HIR headlight bulbs with new OEM motors.
    • OEM C6 Z06 shift assembly
    • OEM C6 Z06 Carbon Edition suede shift knob and boot
    • Pioneer CarPlay Head Unit
    • Custom Boston Acoustic Stereo (amplifier, component speakers, coaxial speakers, subwoofer)
    • Rear view camera
    • Viper 2-way alarm
    • Recent Ridies replacement seat covers with rebuilt driver seat (new foam, padding for seat wires, seat rocking gaskets).
    • Corsa Indy Pacecar Axleback Exhaust
    • Paint is commensurate with the age and mileage. There is no fade / failing clear (outside of a tiny spot at the bottom of the rocker you'd never see unless I told you) and only the normal swirls and rock chips of use. I have photographed the most visible of these marks.
    The Average
    • I purchased the car in 2016 with a clean CarFax. I question if the driver side fender might have been repainted, but I'm not an expert in bodywork. I'm just disclosing out of an abundance of caution to avoid any "I told you sos". Please feel free to run a CarFax to verify.
    • The interior temperature sensor cover is missing
    • The CarPlay connection can occasionally act up. Usually cycling power will solve it. I've never had it not work.
    • The AC requires a charge approximately every two years. I did it in 2021 and 2023. It's currently blowing cold.
    • When I rebuilt the seats the driver seat is a 99-04 style, the passenger side is a 97-98 style with the different lumbar pump. The passenger side seat cover had some dye come off when I was cleaning a fingerprint. It's difficult to capture in photos and you wouldn't notice it if I didn't point it out, but it's there.
    • Targa weeps a bit in the rain, but I basically never drove it in the rain so it wasn't an issue for me.
    • After driving one hour plus I'll get a gas gauge hiccup 25% of the time I drive it. Restarting the car solves it and I've been redoubling my Techron usage.
    The Bad
    • The oil pressure sensor does not work. I had always planned on replacing it with a relocate when I did an LS6 intake, but life happened.
    • The clutch occasionally sticks when the weather is cooler (below 65°F) I am losing clutch fluid level and anticipate it's a master or slave cylinder. In the warmer weather it's fine, but it will need attention sooner versus later.

Price: $12,500 I live about 30 miles southeast of Boston. I will also be listing this locally and it's going to be first come, first serve as far as sales go. I'm happy to answer any questions.

Gorgeous car and solid deal. If I was in the market I'd be all over this. One of my best friends has a modified C5 and it's a hell of a good time.

I've been seeing a lot of C4s lately, and I'm tempted to get one.

I'm not going to lie, part of me sees myself considering an early C4 as a stupid summer car after I find, buy and pay off another STi. I know the early C4s are terrible with their low HP and 4+3, but I like the looks better than the later ones even though they have the 6-speed and late the LT1.

Part pile clean out. Make an offer - prefer not to ship, parts are in NE Vermont, happy to drive reasonable or help arrange TW express. All listed kits/sets are complete to the best of my knowledge - trans cooler kit may be missing a few small bolts/screws.

2nd gen Trans cooler, factory, used/good with all brackets, with new Toyota hard lines, transmission elbows, and o-rings:

Energy 9.4101G, NIB (rad mount bushings IIRC):

ARB inserts, side markers, and install kit, NIB/never mounted:

Also available - complete 2nd gen Access Cab rear interior, including lower seat belt buckles, console, seats, rear panel, etc. Grey, no rips/tears, storage dust, free to a good home.

Oh, no thanks. I'm a solid 7-8 years away from doing something like that. I literally just sold my C5 hoping I can get another Subaru and then I'm assuming in another 7-8 years I'll want something with a removable roof. I like the aesthetics of the 84-87 cars even though they're slow and junk.

I'd want to get a C4 with the LT4. On paper, it's supposed to be similar in power to the LS1 I had years ago. I just want it fast enough to be fun, but I wouldn't expect it to win races against today's cars. I've been passing a nice white C4 for sale on my way to work every morning. From the street, it looks to be in good shape. @nickonfire700 might have seen it.

What’s the big issue with the LT1, the Optispark I think it’s called? They were like 300 HP in the Vette, if memory serves with the LT4 in 96 getting 330 hp.

The white C4 on Pleasant View Ave? It does look to be in good shape, but I have never stopped to look at it in person. We used to work on a later C4 with a 6 speed manual at my work, and the last few things we would fix would continually break, as finding good parts for those cars was tough (most 90's and earlier stuff is now adays though).

Kind of a long shot, ANYONE know someone selling a gen 3 tailgate? Preferably in Lunar rock, but open to getting one and having it painted. Backed into a tree with my down last night and crunched it real good!
