Good afternoon all. Was busy putting a coat of bottom paint on the sailboat this morning. AC crapped out. Fan needs a new condenser; easy peasy. Got one on Amazon - correct value, wrong diameter. She’s running now but I’ll have to get the correct one for it soon.

    What do you sail?
I got out of it maybe 10 years ago because my girlfriend’s social circle was into power boats and sand-bar/island tie-ups. Having a sailboat just wasn’t practical. I miss my Catalina 22. I had a Starwind 19 before that.

I have a ‘72 Venture 17 overnighter. It was given to me and I’ve fully restored it a few years ago. Even had the deck off. It’s light enough for me to suspend from the garage attic which helps when working on it. New rigging, sails, and furler. I sail out of New Haven, CT on Long Island Sound. Someday, I’ll get something in the 25-28’ range.

In our town of less than 9,000, we have 5 Dollar General stores.. my wife wanted to go get a few things. She needed to go to 4 of them.

    Remembering how/when I said I do.

I like how your flooring uses the sheet foam instead of the glued on stuff on each piece of flooring. I wish I had done it the way that you did yours.

Beautiful boat! It would be cool to see more pictures. UW Green Bay used to run a summer sailing school staffed by the sailing team. I probably went there in 1980. I’ve loved it ever since. A buddy just sold his Chrysler 22. Have you seen one of those? Great in choppy bay water.

I’ve only seen photos of a Chrysler 22. Never in person. Cape Dory’s are popular at the yacht club. I’d love to get a CD25d or CD27d. The ‘d’ designation is an inboard diesel. I’ll get a photo or two of my dry dock setup tomorrow when I go put, yet another, coat of bottom paint on the keel.

Actually I was- downhill pretty fast and hit a big rock.
Yeah, but I have a spare wheel until I fix or replace this one.

Rear wheel so teeth are good!

Kind of what I said when it happened...

Good morning , glad your body survived, looks like a nasty hit. I would be amazed if that rim could be repaired, but if you have the right equipment. Cool you have a spare wheel, back at it.

Stay on the asphalt and you won’t have that problem..
Kinda like what I tell Tacoma owners when they break something off road and get all
Pissy when Toyota won’t pay for it..

    :fistbump:

    Hope you’re ok..
