Right, I was inspired by that which you shared earlier in the thread. But I mean permanently installed & plumbed into the truck's normal oil flow. (Y-splitter, pressure difference between the normal & bypass filter will ensure only a small fraction of the normal flow goes through the 2 micron, but over time it will filter all the oil through it.)

Yep, I considered that. I didn’t find a good location so I went that route. Here’s something else I did that took up some room.

That’s actually misleading - need a photo from the other angle (below) but there is a slit in that welded boss that lets oil out. I posted the same the other day but immediately deleted it when I realized that. The Fumoto not having a slit and extending above the boss means there will definitely be more oil than stock left in there. Negligible, but it is true that the Fumoto blocks some oil draining out.

Alrighty there tacotime, you’ve got some ‘splaining to do. I’ve double gloved before, but I’ve never double funneled. Is it just an extended funnel now?

Knowing how much it holds and how much I put in tells me it’s not a significant amount.

Used the cup method on the filter after loosening it, cleanest change ever draining the oil right back into the previous 1 & 5 qt containers through tubing. I allowed it to drain & cool overnight before changing the filter.

I have a nice set of Harbor Freight jacks and a hydraulic floor jack left over from my building days (long gone now).
Driveway has a slope but the truck sits high enough I can reach the drain without lifting.
Not sure about changing the filter yet.

The F133N with 15mm nipple still sits high and protected above the frame cross member.
I'm not an off-roader in the rough, so that is a non-problem for me.

I'd just as soon pay for the work, but I very much doubt anybody in my area will not over torque my filter housing.
I just don't need that crap that comes from the kiddies, the inept or the lazy.

    I have the 103RH
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HTV2M90
The nut with the tubing nipple lives with the filter wrench but even if I left it installed it’s still both plenty long enough for the tubing to stay on without a clamp and short enough it doesn’t hang below the cross brace. No clamp makes it easy to switch between the 1 & 5qt bottles with no drips. Just close the valve, pull the hose, switch bottles, push the hose back on and reopen the valve to get the rest. Bottles have a view finder edge so it’s easy to see how full that first one is getting. I use ramps instead of jacks.

At age 73, I really didn't want to start doing my own service again.
But... all the stories I read here about dealership problems, and conversations with my now-retired shop owner friend, convinces me I should to my own oil and filter work.

My Access Cab does not have a skid plate in the way of an oil change.
So maybe the short nipple might offer a wee bit more protection for the valve.
I can also snap on their MH-10 fitting if I want to use a hose.
Otherwise, it is a straight down dump into the catch pan.

If you hang on to the oil bottles you can avoid the catch pan altogether and it makes recycling the oil a bit easier. More secure than those screw top catch basins.

I think you can get away with the short nipple...from this photo, you can see the tubing connection and the long neck of the valve remaining.

(The valve shutoff circled is from another discussion)

I have the TRD Skid and the valve is tucked under it...I don't go rock-crawling of 4-wheeling either.

Absolutely you can. I always recommend the F133S. That’s what I have.
