He said he tested it earlier in the thread. But I think maybe he "missed it".

I had earlier confirmed fuses are good, but didn’t check power at them. This process has been quite a learning experience.

For notation it's the one circled in red.

This pic of the fuses certainly helped get it started!!!!!!!!!!
I'm exhausted and not sure about a few things.
So there is NO Radio No. 2 fuse? Or this is literally for a 2nd radio so we don't typically have the fuse?
Somehow in my testing of fuses early on, I must have put the IG2 Main fuse into the Radio No. 2 slot. So for the past day IG2 was empty.

    I think what happened:

    New radio didn't work.
I first checked radio fuses, but accidentally pulled IG2, then returned it to Radio 2 slot. So in my mind both radio fuses were good. My check was simply continuity.
I then checked all the harnesses and found the loose plug, and reinserted it.
At this point, truck wouldn't start.
Duh, I guess I had moved IG2 fuse in my radio fuse checks.

Wow do I feel like an idiot, but hopefully lots of thread readers have learned from this episode.

Now I get to install my new head unit again.

@Dm93 and @TnShooter were fantastic in their research and suggestions.

Well it was an easy fix as I suspected, just took us awhile to get there.

Radio No 2 and Radio No 3 are for trucks that have the JBL sound system, they power the Radio Amplifier. Not used on trucks without JBL Audio.

Well the good thing is you learned how to check fuses in circuit instead of pulling them which as you found out can end up with them installed back in the wrong slot.

    Nice.....
    Easy enough to fix.

If anything, you leaned to do a little electrical work.
Now you know how check (most) fuses, with out removing them. :)

I personally like to use a test light, as a fuse can show 12v but not necessarily be "good". If you do purchase one, do NOT buy an LED type.

Might want to edit your thread title and add (solved) so others that don't read the whole thread know the issue was fixed.

No worries we found out the IG2 MAIN Fuse got misplaced instead of blown :D

Wasn't it you that got ahold of a fuse box stuffed full of 15A fuses. :boink:
I mean, if you fill all the spots up with fuses, nothing can be "missing", Right? :D

Yea I still have the picture, guess there was a sale on 15A fuses that day:rofl:
At least it wasn't all 30A fuses or that story might have ended up a bit differently:bananadead:

Glad you got it sorted, it's a far easier mistake to make than you imply. Especially when pulling and checking every single fuse location. After the first couple, they all blend together.

    Fun story time.

I was the second tech that started working on a new ford f350, the trailer plug didn't work properly, and when a trailer was connected, the dash would light up with a number of failures and errors.

I did the same as you, checked every single fuse, even the ones unrelated to trailer lighting. I spent hours doing this.

Then I pulled apart the trailer wiring, and found the last tech had not used the official trailer plug add-on kit that's required for the Ford's to properly know a trailer is connected, and had tied the trailer plug to the vehicles left/right signals, making the computer flip out. 4 hours later, everything worked as it should, but it wasn't a happy day.

Whew. Somehow I knew it had to be something simple that you overlooked especially since it worked one min and then didn't the next. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and create our own problems. Take tools for instance. How the hell can we lose a tool that we just had in our hand a second ago? It's maddening.
