Arrrggggh! Nice looking unit, too bad the install instructions are...... I'm convinced it won't go on without first removing the mounting studs, but no mention on the install video. Now my computer says LCEs site is not supported. I'll search the video on YouTube. Any suggestions?

I’ve installed these before without having to remove the studs from the head. I installed mine from the top side. If I remember correctly, there is a 10mm bolt for a bracket holding the ac lines on. Remove that and move that over a little, then try to fish it in from the top

Do you remember how long ago that was? Cheers, Dave

it was a few years ago before I went turbo. Here’s the little bracket for the ac line I was talking about- it is removed in this pic. I have taken mine off probably 5-10 times over the years before changing manifolds. The secondary air injection crap will have to be moved but the studs can stay. Fish it in from the top with the merge collector first. It will be super tight but it should fit down in there once the ac line can scoot over a bit. It will literally be up against this line when you’re trying to drop it down in there, just be careful not to damage it

It's in! What a battle. The ONLY thing I can think of to explain my difficulties is when they replaced the frame all those years ago, they got some oddball for a replacement. Check the clearance between the header and the frame bulkhead between the upper A arm mounts. It's about 3/8". I've got $1000 (Canadian) to the person who could install that header in my truck without removing the studs.header.jpg

All done. First trip towing my T@B this weekend. Super happy with the power. LCE header, AES intake and deleted the clutch fan. Pulled hard. Used the A/C when I wanted ;-)
