I am buying a 2019. It made me nervous to do it because everyone mentioned needing to have the trans at a certain temp to fill it properly.

    The difficulty is overblown.
Grab a scan gauge, ob2 reader or IR heat gun and get after it.
There's a couple a YouTube videos that detail it well.

Just follow the temp check process and do a few times to get used to it. THEN do the fluid change. It sounds intimidating, but it’s really very simple once you do it a couple of times to get used to it. Lots of money saved too.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
This has been my schedule on my 2nd gen. I made my own flush device I use on the tranny cooler hoses. Currently at 235k with no issues. Flushed trans three times now.

The 2020+ can check temperature by doing a neutral drive procedure.

I told them fluid exchange they asked if i wanted a flush or a drain and fill. I took the gamble and did the flush since i have relatively low miles(39k)

I have to find a new reliable shop to go to. I honestly had a good shop for years but they’ve gotten a little shady don’t trust them anymore. They got really busy and forgot about their OG values. It’s really hard to find a good shop anymore so I went with dealer because 1 it’s close to my house, and 2 they’ll back it up if they fuck up usually

Had the transmission flushed today at dealer with good results. Hard to tell, seemed smoother. But now it’s full of clean fluid and I should be good for another 85k.

I see the 30k for towing and 60k for not
Kind of in the middle of the guidelines
    No longer towing Thoughts?

I would. I change mine every 40K regardless of if I was towing or not. Towing puts more strain on your transmission fluid, but so does carrying loads in your bed, cab full of people, stop and go traffic.
$300 for a fluid service or $5k for a new transmission.

I did 4 total drain and fills on my 19 sport auto, with 49000 miles this weekend. Drained 3 quarts/litres the first drop full cold, filled 3 quarts, pinned the stat, did the warm up and check procedure with obd2 jumper, set the level. Went for a 15 mile drive, auto and s/manual shifting. Came home, let cool, dropped 2.75 quarts or so, filled with 3 quarts, did the procedure again, went for the same drive. Let fully cool, dropped 2.75 quarts, filled with 3, did the procedure again, went for a 40 mile drive, came home let cool overnight. dropped 2.75 quarts again, filled with 3 again, full check procedure, set level, then Added 10oz of Lubeguard Platinum, on suggestion from @gearcruncher posts. Calling it good for the next 50,000. The reason I went with 4 instead of the 3 drain fill is, I opted to change to the fully synthetic Ravenol brand WS Spec fluid, wanted to try to get as much new into the system as possible, through multiple drain, fill, dilutions. 12 quart/litres out, 12 in. I know it isnt perfect, or 100% new but, it is closer than only doing 1. The check procedure is a pain but, not difficult, just follow the instructions, watch the videos. Ski

    Awesome job
Got my fingers crossed all goes well .
These transmissions need fresh fluid on a constant basis .
They are very good transmissions but they need constant servicing to stay this way .
