    Welp, we hitting a heat wave and looks like Imma gonna need a service call on the A/C. It's struggling and getting hot in the house slowly. I've double checked the filter and changed it. Cleaned the coils. Changed the capacitor. Me thinks I need refrigerant. Yay me. Wonder how much that gonna cost... :spending:

    Oooof, my condolences. My unit is from '99 and is pretty damn crusty on the inside of the unit in the attic. I know one day it's gonna shit the bed, and I saved my old window units from the old house. I plan to eventually replaced it with a heat pump unit as my heat is an oil boiler, which is pricey to run...

    Yea the trades have gotten pretty expensive. Got a pin hole leak in one of my boiler lines Christmas day. Got a bucket under it till the next day. Guy still charged a $200 service call and another $250 for a couple hours labour o_O

    I paid attention to everything the guy did and he even showed me the drain and bleed procedure. I know how to solder copper so the next one I'm doing...
