Dont have a lot of stories. Best way to avoid neighbor problems is to not have them! Go build a house in a cornfield!

And you thought I made it up! That photo was on a non-combat boot day.

I have one that had an eye tumor. It oddly went away after keeping it out of the sun, on a dog that hates being inside. :anonymous::anonymous:

I have that. Still can hear and see my neighbors. Saving for a 100 acres in North GA mountains or south east TN.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
Well my landlord/Neighbor had a band come over. Was a good time me and the lady grilled some burgers and sat on the couch listening to some live music with the windows and doors open. Was a good evening, he invited us over but the lady wasn’t feeling too social so we just listened from afar.

Not a bad deal unless they were playing something you weren't a fan of I suppose..

Well he said they were a country band but i was hearing classic rock so even better. Then again live music of any kind is hard to say no to.

Yeah, need the distance for volume - So we were right in the Apr 8 center eclipse path in NW Vermont, didn't have to do more than walk 50 feet for our tiny clear spot though the trees. We're heavily wooded on some acres but with neighbors 600 or 700 feet on two sides of us. Eclipse totality was at 3:26-ish. At 2:55 as things were getting nice, dark, quiet, spooky.... one guy decides to start up his SCUT tractor and begins dragging his driveway. Which is quite loud on any given day.

We were like WTF really?!?! He did stop at 3:10 or 15 but I'm like "way to ruin the mood". Started back up about 10 minutes after the sun showed again. Nobody in that family (two adjoining properties) really seems to have consideration for others in the area, from multiple past other "events".

    Anyway end rant / story....

Our neighbor, who is hard of hearing, is a "musician". Horrible, horrible, horrible at making music. He had a concert in his backyard one day. I don't know where he got them, but he had concert size speakers. Stacks as high as the fence. When the "band" started playing, the pictures on our walls were bouncing against the drywall. We could feel the music in the air - a vibration- going through us. We couldn't hear each other unless we were yelling. Repeated trips over to ask him to turn it down a bit but no dice. Didn't want to, but finally had to call the cops.

So today I was at a car supporting a buddy of mine and his car, and there was several people like yours with the weird choice of clothing and dogs with goggles just like your photo. It must be a thing.

    I got a new one.

Neighbors next door picked up a peculiar habit since the new girlfriend moved in. They both park in the street, and most days they get home within 5-10 minutes of each other. Good for them to have such an aligned schedule, but no biggie.

What's weird is that they wait for each other in their respective cars. After both are parked, they meet face to face to at the base of the drive, and without saying a word, turn in unison, and walk backwards towards the house. In perfect, aligned, silent step. Daily. Every time.

    Here's the gossip:
    • New girlfriend has severe OCD
    • It's a religious ritual that neither of us have heard about
    • It's a superstition that neither of us have heard about.
    • It's a comet worshipping cult.

In the end it's all harmless and we're not going to embarrass then with the nosy "the fuck are you doing" questions. But we're sure going to speculate out of earshot. :anonymous:

Guessing not but does it matter who gets home first?

Not that I can tell. They have both waited on each other depending on who gets there first.

Sometimes though if the boyfriend had been home all day he will walk down the drive to meet her, then they'll do the ritual.

When I was in middle school we had some weird neighbors in beaumont Texas. The husband , probably in his late to mid 50s would mow the yard in nothing but a speedo . The wife was crazy nosy so much so that one time we were painting the dining room which had windows to the front of the house, the windows had curtains so we took them down to paint. We were painting it navy blue but through the bug screen from the outside I guess it looked black. The lady came over and rang the doorbell to ask my mom why she was painting the dining room black.

The husband would also always find something that needed to be done is his backyard anytime my sister would sunbath in our backyard. At the time she was in high school. We called them "speedo and the detective" . Since I was in middle school really dont know what my parents ever did about it
