Whelp this tire is donezo.



Nooooo i wasnt riding on this, the middle center of the tire was down past the wear bars and the rest of the tread was pretty close to the wear bars as well. Got a bigger ride coming and wanted to put on the fresh tire.... so i had to send off the tire proper. Super Tenere goes straight to revlimiter in a 3rd gear dump with not much throttle input for a beautiful smoky burnout.

New road 5 spooned on and being balanced.

Thought about riding the ST to visit my brother, but it was supposed to rain. Opted for the truck.

Very glad I did as there were several points that had standing water and my noob as would have been screwed on the bike.

 

Yup! Minus the damn sunburn I got haha it's been fun!

 

Planning a ride with a buddy this summer. It'll be fun, but I'm coming to the realization that I need panniers.

I'm going to get the Giant Loop Mototrekk panniers, as I think they're the happy middle ground of weight/size given that the ST already has touratech racks. I just hate the gouge for the rack mounts and was hoping for a sale today.

 

Maybe they'll throw a July 4th sale if you can wait?

 

Trip is happening before or around then.

 

But they probably will just to spite me. Lol

Well damn. I grabbed some cheap Rhinowalk bags to hold me over until I can get the Hepco & Becker stuff I want.

 

I have. I don't like their set up... and it doesn't match my GL Diablo tank bag.

I did find that DORKINTHEROAD is a valid coupon for a solid discount, but you gotta play some games for the vest deal.

The panniers have the option to add the mounts and get 10% off the mounts. But then the coupon code only discounts the bags. If you order them separate and use the coupon it's a larger overall savings. I'm just not sure if it's a one time use coupon.

 

Melted my dry bag on my ride today haha. Damnit.

For the guys that don't want to watch or see. He thinks his bag got caught on the rear wheel and fishtailed running 80. High sided and bike landed on him. Lost a big toe and foot. They are going to amputate from the shin down for a prosthetic.
