Bet She’s got the attitude of a 5th injector at times + female make things powerful interesting. So smart & aware horses are.

 

you are very correct. i should have called her methody. she is calculated, kind and super aware. very lucky to have her.

 

methody as my truck has a 7th and 8th methanol boost injector. shes my style.

ill try and shorten some videos as they wont upload due to size. learned she has likely an allergy issue or auto-immune condition causing her to itch/ scratch too much.

so after paying the vet, getting some meds, and giving that a go stuff went bad. it lowered her immune system. we didnt know until she refused to walk and was unsteady standing. we took her temp. horses are 100.5* normal. she was almost 106* very, very sick with pnenmonia. had we not noticed or acted fast she was 1 day from being put down.
a VERY expensive emergency vet bill. meds, and wetting her hay down she was fine in a couple days. oof, thought this would be easier. and cheaper. 3 vet visits was almost 2k. shes walking almost 1 mile a day and very spunky.

 

yeah, i figured. i would load them there already but we havent had time. life got incredibly complicated a week after getting olivia in other ways. thank you for the suggestion!

 

She's a cute little thing, but I think I see some sass in there too! Glad she's doing better. Nothing about livestock is cheap, for sure.

 

she can be a lil pain pulling moves. but, shes much better and very gentle with baby humans too. she only trys to nip if something is really wrong. 70lbs of sass i can deal with. if she was full sized with this personality id be in a pinch.

 

How's Olivia doin?

 

she is great all around. i really wish i had more time but its an hour a day with stall clean and walking her. caring for elderly family with us has its limits but we are getting it done.!

 

she looks like a fatass but shes all fluff. may weigh 55-70lbs. i can pick her up easy. just need to let her grow her stuff as nature needs. im almost done insulating her barn. even in freezing temps her barn with her and a lightbulb will be fine for her.

 

So glad everything panned out. Know what you mean. Life can turn on a dime but how you handle it makes the difference. Good on Everyone pullin’ through.
