    Mahanoy City is about 20 minutes east of Centralia. My friend Dave, who was with us for part of the time today, lives in the Lehigh Valley area and drives through Mahanoy City on his way to Centralia whenever he goes there. Dave texted me at 10:52pm and said that Mahanoy City got hit by a tornado two hours prior (so just before 9pm)!

    I don't know what or where Lake Centralia is, but there are several places called Centralia in this country. The Centralia seen here is a ghost town that was declared eminent domain in 1993 due an underground coal mine fire that has been burning since Memorial Day 1962!
