Not me, but I am curious about the narrower ‘35’ options out there.

Still running the fatty 315/75R16s for now.

snuck out last Friday for a quick ride. as usual didn't take many pics. The front end refresh did wonders for how the truck handles, especially when flexed out now that the steering and CVs aren't binding up thanks to the new limit straps.

Turned into a much longer day after my friend ripped the control arm mount off the axle on her XJ on the easiest part of the trail:laughing: We were able to ratchet strap the axle in place well enough to limp it off the trail before grabbing my trailer...

Meh that isn't really that fatty imo. I'm running the same with 16x8 f5s and lemme say, my buddies that are on 17x9 rims with 35's look considerably larger than mine. Rim width plays a big role in how 'big' a tire looks on a vehicle imo.

I think I'd like something closer to an 11" wide tire but I agree that the 315s don't look too drastic.

    You're on a 16 wheel too right?
I had more poke with my 295/70r17's on a 17x9 than I do now with a 315/74r16. It's basically flush now with fender flares. Looks about flush with your glass up front.

Yeah, it's pretty much flush with the glass which is about even width wise with a 1st gen fender that has 01-04 flares on.

Mine are probably just under an inch past the flares up front, but I also probably lost a half inch of width because I chopped the flares. I’m on 16x8 -25 offset and no spacers, FWIW.

If I could slightly reduce the poke but get the inside of the tire away from the frame by an inch, that would be perfect.

I've found that 3.5in BS wheels are basically the absolute minimum wheel spacing if you want to clear the frame for a 33 or 35. Any more than that and you'll be rubbing.

That's my trick, I rub, although it really hasn't affected anything

I'm at about 3.3" or so and it rubs but not enough to limit steering. just enough to keep the frame polished

Let it rub the frame and it clears everything else better!

Frame rubbing with the oem 5 stars and 315/75r16 which are 4.5” bs with 1.25” wheel spacers. Basically 3.25” total.

I prefer to keep my turning radius. at one point I was considering notching the frame like that one guy in Montana did in the 3in lift on 35's thread.
