I'm aware, what's your point? I would expect the chevy to make more power regardless since it's a larger engine. Toyota has never been known to go after highest hp/torque figures.

Ford knows the truck won't last long enough for it to be an issue so they're like " yea run whatever all good" lol

Don't know why they scrapped the longbed, there was a preproduction version. I'd prefer the Super Cab, by the time Ford charges you for a long bed Ranger with the 2.7 you could probably get a F150 for the same price.

    Twin turbo twice as unreliable.

My truck, and a truck with a V8 and proper length bed parked in front of it.

My point. Chevy 4 and Toyota 3 are different sizes but hp/tq per liter show that you could still get more performance and maintain reliability.

Don't know why people here think Toyota is going to offer some more HP. They have always said for their truck products they are not chasing numbers. Ford has always been about the HP. Same as it ever was. Go for the Ford and quit thinking Toyota and people who buy their products care about who is on top.

But turbo 4 vs NA 4. Toyota don't offer a normally aspirated option for the Tacoma, only the more powerful turbo.

True Toyota has said that many times.

2.4T with 278/317 is not enough and $3,700 to boost it to 326/465 isn't worth it but upgrading the Ford 2.3T (270/310) to 315/400 for $2,200 is okay. The extra 2 cylinders and extra turbo may not weigh 400lbs like the MAX but it's more than half way there. Hybrid more complex but gets 10yr/150K warranty on battery and 8yr/100K on all other hybrid parts.

Jury is still out on the Tacoma hybrid and whether or not it performs as claimed. The Tundra hybrid has been a disappointment.

The 3 liter in the gr corolla has been out since what, 2023? The highest mileage gr corolla with the 3 liter I have found is like 30k miles. All I'm saying is typically when you try to squeeze out more power from an engine, reliability may go down.

I believe you, but why would Toyota not make these particular features more prominent in marketing information?
    They seem prime selling points.

But if the 2.4T made GR per liter #s it would make 450hp and 410 torque. I was thinking more like 300/360 hp/tq which shouldn't overstress the engine.

Gotcha, I'm pretty happy with the numbers from the standard engine. I think it's more than enough. I like that it makes more torque than horsepower, and the fact it makes that torque at much lower rpm.

I thought it was only 1.6 liter in the Corolla GR, is the 3 liter a special edition above the regular GR?

Finally saw a '24 up close and personal. Underground OR, no add-ons...$46k and change.
Really nice looking truck. But of course I have to put a negative spin on it; the 14" screen is an absolute deal breaker for me. If I were shopping I'd definitely go SR5, personal opinion of course. Aside from that, the appearance is impressive.

Mines the offroad with the 8 inch screen. But I think we have different pricing and models in Canada vs USA With todays conversion rate looks like I paid $40,500 which was $50,500 with freight and pdi. When I just built the same truck on the US site it was $44k plus the freight and pdi which would come out to about $45,200 USD which is about $56k CDN if my math is all right
