    1998- Don't get into a car with a stranger.

2008- Don't meet people alone you met from the internet.

2024- Order yourself a ride with a person in a car, who you don't know, from the internet, and ride with them alone

Mine is aluminum being a residential. I would imagine a bigger door would need to be steel. Still, insulated is a much better door and worth the extra dough.

We get a bit less snow down here in the southern part of the state, but I've been happy with my insulated steel 16' door. I think it was 2007 when I had it installed. Got some rust on the tracks where they touch the slab, but the door bottom is still good.

I guess where there is a will there is a way...

    Agree with @Delta09
The insulated door is far superior in both construction and longevity.

Non insulated doors tend to "work" at the joints over time & get loose. Since the two panels of the insulated door are 100% glued together this isn't a problem.

Additionally, a flying rock from the mower can punch right through a non insulated door, not very often with an insulated one.

    Finally, they are quieter. :)

I'm a little embarrassed to admit but our collective bargaining agreement gives us 5 paid days off when a spouses grandparent passes. My wife's flying to Tennessee to help bury nanny and I'm hanging with my little girl. Part of me feels a little bad to take these days but the other half says, this company just layed two of my guys off with zero notice. Take the days you get.

I've been seeing guys down here do spray foam for insulation. Go aluminum and get the spray foam insulation installed.

Excellent! Thanks to you, @Delta09 and all making this recommendation! Check on the insulated

Got a chance to speak with the guys measuring it this morning and picked their brains- lucked out they had a crew already headed this way when I called. They’re a CHI distributor/installer.
I ruled out ‘overlay’ models having a sheathing of extruded polyurethane or wood panels over steel. The poly because the guy didn’t have much good to say and the wood because we do not want the maintenance. He also said at least 30 of them come banged up. I was also think more layers of anything = more that can go wong.
They left a book I’ll go through tonight to narrow it down further.
    Thanks everyone :hattip:

    Thanks for the recommendation!

As for the time, you younglings need to beat it out of your head you shouldn’t take what’s yours. It part of the contract and how you use it is up to you and your family.

Back to shop talk! Got an old 1970's dirt bike trailer a buddy left with me 30 years ago. Well Robert has since passed RIP Robert. It's held together with nuts and bolts. Well it's time to take it to the scrap yard and get what I can get for it. I've tried to hand it down to any one but no one wants a tank. It's too small for anything.
:rofl::rofl: he loaned it to me and another good friend one year that's how I got it. To take our Ducati's to Daytona bike week. We got the first one loaded then the second one loaded as soon as we made the first turn we went back and unloaded them.:rofl::rofl::rofl:. We called it the weavy bobby trailer :oldglory:. More on that one too. Then we waited till the trailer store opened and rented one, which Don bought when we got back. I know I know pictures. Ok ok ok I will get some. It's about half way down now and in the other trailer for the scrap yard.
    IMG_20240529_162358369.jpg IMG_20240529_162349921.jpg
    And that jeep grill too
    IMG_20240529_162406548_HDR.jpg.
Don and I had a great time with the weavy bobby thing... When we got down to FL we took the scenic route as we were driving in we spotted a girl in a flag bikini.
And from that time on we looked for this gal all over bike week . Looking for Weavy Bobby.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
    The end!

    Agree.

I spent my years always concerned about doing what was best for The Company.

Distance gives one perspective, I was a fool. :smack:

Although I only called out sick twice in 16 years if one of those days had been before or after a holiday the HR Manager would have delightedly pulled my holiday pay and laughed about it "because it was in the handbook".

You owe your employer an honest days work every day, they owe you what was negotiated.

Use the time doing what is best for you & family.
