I've had my Tacoma 7 years (Barcelona Red 2017) and never had a problem with glare. Almost sounds like people trying to make excuses or justify installing decal kits on their hoods.
Its the same with the shiny glare coming off door handles and other interior trim blinding you. Really? I never had that problem but it appears to be pretty traumatic to others. I think its just excuses to justify their mods.

I have put black matte vinyl on my hood, it really helps with glare at night. Don’t really care about what others think.

It’s a solar panel from cascadia 4x4. Got some delamination on it. They sent me a replacement, I’m just dreading pulling that thing off.

Yes the interior trim blinds me, yes it’s been replaced with aftermarket trim pieces. I should get my truck tinted. I wear sunglasses all the time, I can’t really see without them.

I had it happen to me one time. Has to be the right time of day and you have to be driving in the right direction. I looked into those decals and thought they were ugly so I held off. Looking at some of the "solutions" here I think I made the right decision

I have full PPF on my hood, and that really helped. I agree on the vent chrome rings blinding you when the sun is just right. Luckily there is solutions for that.

Not in my case! I don't like stickers and decals.
It's a legitimate problem, that's why I posted it sir.

I had a shop do a hood wrap that came all the way up to the windshield. The glare bothered me a bunch, especially when coming back from duck hunting and driving directly at the sun during the season. 3 hours of glare sucked.

I too have experience unpleasant glare from this same spot. Inspired by this post I figured I may as well do this as I had several feet of wrap left over after doing my fender flares awhile back (Sport model).

    Works great...no more glare!

Any good quality wrap will work but you will need it at least 5 feet wide to be able to use one continuous piece. Knifeless tape is a must to get a decent cut without scratching your truck and/or ending up with a ragged, uneven edge. It can be a bit trying if you haven't wrapped anything before but look up some YouTube videos and that should help a lot. If you're not into doing it yourself, see if a local wrapper will do it for you. I listed links to the wrap and the tape below:

Black Matte Car Wrap Vinyl - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FXYG6D8?ie=UTF8&th=1
    Knifeless tape - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IJJ3SG2?ie=UTF8

    Good luck!

You could just try dicking around with your phone instead of looking through the windshield like most people these days...

I've been thinking of plasti-dipping that ridge back into the cowl for the same reason. I kinda want to get the whole hood wrapped and do a variation on the 80s motorsport team theme, but I keep hewring about the limited lifespan of vinylnwraps and thats offputting.
