    i dont like all this lift crap, seems like i gotta order too much stuff for it........ so will putting just 5100's all round on my truck increase ride quality by much????? and when you increase ride height on them arent u just increasing preload which has negative effects as well????

    In some cases it has changed ride quality alot my ride is a better ride i havent had any issues im going to be getting the conversion coilover kit.

    and if say, i wanted to lift it an inch, i wouldnt really need to do anything else? does it stress any joints?

    From what i am told it doesnt stress any joints, and if you want to lift say an inch there are only 3 levels to where you can set the shocks .85, 1.75 and 2.5" but make sure you know what you want you would have to take the whole shock/coil assembly off and compress the coils to change the settings each time

    but would it put much stress on the drive joints? like over a LONG period of time

    It shouldn't but then again I'm not an expert but its just from what I hear from other Tacoma owners. You can also do a differential drop for less wear on the cv joints.

    The diff drop is for 4x4 trucks so you should be fine

    I put them on my truck a 2006 double cab TRD 4x4 set at 1.75. My truck drives and rides a whole lot better than the stock setup. Which I would have never believed until I did it. So far about 2000 miles and I still love it wish I would have done it a year ago. Hope this helps

    so raising the truck could mean harsher ride..... cause your shocks wont be plush, got ir

    Yes raising your truck can mean a harsher ride some people have said they have a harsher ride but so many people have said the ride is so much better, luck of the draw.

    I can try the pic thing but it will be a few days. My wife just had surgery so I am bouncing around in and out. I don't have a harsh ride at all. Hauled my wife home after surgery in and didn't get any complaints.

    AFE oil free drop in, Secondary removed, tint, front D-rings, Toyota bed mat, Undercover tonneau, TRD seat covers and floor mats, Pioneer speakers, Westin Platinum bars, Fumoto oil valve, short antena, Nifty Xtreme's, TSB leaf springs, Bilstein 5100's set at .85" in the front
    I set the 5100s on the front at .85" and actually got 1" of lift. The TSB on the rear springs left my truck 1.25" higher in the rear than the front while running light. This was measured through the center of the hubs from the ground to the lip of the wheel well. I don't think the drive shafts or steering linkage is affected enough to do any other mods. The ride with the 5100s is much better than with the stock fleet type HD bilsteins that came on the original TRD, OR package.

    Just noticed your from my old hometown of Rolla, MO. I sure miss the trees and water.
