Looks like 22.6" is the standard for extended length shocks.

So there's a 1/2" difference between ride height and full droop? No wonder it tops out all the time.

Only thing that's going to fix that is less lift, that being said, a extended travel shock would allow more downtravel with the same ride height.

Unfortunately, with these trucks it's generally one or the other, not both (LT excluded). I'd like to be an inch higher but the ride quality was jarringly bad at that height. It's free to reduce preload, try that first and see if it fixes your issues - might make a bigger quality increase than you'd expect. I ended up settling on about 1.65" of front suspension lift out of my setup (ext travel shocks as well). Was the highest I could go before the ride quality started dropping off.

Haha Idk if it’s “free” to reduce preload, people charge out the ass to take a shock on and off. I’ll try it and see what happens. More than likely will see these up for sale. I’ve never had issues like this, live and learn!

If you have a punch tool you can do it on the truck, just jack it up first. Then loosen the allen on the locking collar and unthread the collar counterclockwise like a normal bolt. It gets easier the farther you go since there's less tension on the spring with each turn. Might need to clean the threads first if they're dirty. Moving the collar up will lower the truck and increase your downtravel ~2x as much as you raise the collar.

    EDIT:
    Mine look like this:

Just for comparable, my measurements on my loaded spring is 10.5” and the total length is about 22” as well.

What kind of bump stops are you running?

Check this out if you haven’t. May help.

So are you saying the shock is fully rebounding when you say they are “topping out”. You also say it rides like shit when hitting bumps but you are def not bottoming out. Just trying to get a full picture. Can you post that video?

As far as I know yes, feels like they are fully rebounding. Maybe too fast, and that’s where im feeling the wheel slam back down. Im going to head down some roads in the morning and try and get video that show it more consistently.
