Nice comparison, the 1970 truck probably used twice the gas even though it was lighter.

I think the 4 door Chevy pickup in the 70's added another 40 or so inches in length.

I had an 05 Tundra Access cab for 11 years and it was super smooth and quiet Lexus like.

    No, it's not.

2nd gen was an outdated turd, and the 4.0 was a wheezy, asthmatic underpowered brick.

Growing up I never saw one privately owned, always highway crews and forest service.

Some of us (including me) do not have any other “social media”.

This a is a Tacoma truck enthusiast forum. Folks are gonna have different opinions on things, which is what happens on forums and internet in general.

Most understand that concept but some…

The 4G does look a bit bigger. Maybe it’s just the illusion of white color screwing with me. :)

What's the point of posting it on the 4G forum though? Go post on the 3G forum and get circle jerked over there.

You don't see me posting in the 2G forum about how outdated their trucks are, do you?

4th gen has a longer wheel base and everyone who owns or driven one says it has a worse turning radius which obviously makes sense due to wheelbase

My taco buying history is a 2nd gen regular cab 4x4 and 3rd gen SR AC 4x4 (both 4 cyl) and indicates I don’t need/want “bigger” or “more powerful.”

And I want a really cheap truck since inflation is a thing and no one is paying me more.

Toyota isn’t interested in my money, I guess.

I’m not buying the new LC (hybrid only) or GX (too expensive).
