The strap is bolted to the tailgate and the other end has a keyhole for attachment to the truck bed. A shorter strap would require a tool and more time. Takes 2 seconds to move strap from one position to the other.

The problem is with a power tailgate pushing the button or bumping it makes the gate fully close.

Let's use some common sense here. If you don't want a 4th generation Tacoma...don't come in here and shitpost. We have already banned several members from the complete 4th generation section and I am sure many more will join them.

You couldn't give me a 3rd gen Tacoma, but you don't see me shitposting in the 3rd gen section. It really just isn't worth it. I don't want one...so I don't buy one. Pretty simple.

I think if you drove my 2021 OR a bit, you might change your mind. It’s fine.

I strongly suggest everyone that has doubts to just test drive one. I have taken two 4th gen's for a drive and really liked the Limited trim package.

some and more and more and more and
    absolutely!.
But no, it’s not just about sound. There is actually quite a bit of improvement happening with that system and it’s much better flow in regards to un-stifling the motor that Toyota has done.

I have no doubt the 2024 is nice. But you my friend are the classic definition of a forum troll.

Agreed for me it’s more about the cosmetic things I don’t like like interior and the rear. It drove better as expected from the power train. But I’m not sold on the long term reliability ease of maintenance and the track record given the tundra and what I’ve seen from early issues like cracked evaporators and debris ridden paint.

With a '22 you are probably 8 years (minimum) away from needing to replace your truck. For me personally, I'm done with ICE-only vehicles and had hoped the Tacoma hybrid would provide some meaningful efficiency gains, but it does not, so its out.

So, my plan is to just wait it out for the many electrified options that will be coming down the road in the next few years, with the understanding that Toyota will likely not be in the mix.
