LMAO I guess that explains why I seem to get so much more mileage out of my rears than most of my friends, they say the same....i say i ride spiritedly but I definitely try to avoid backing it in anywhere or picking up the wheel unless i'm on a long clear straight lol

nothing wrong with it, i'm just too risk averse outside the track...though now I'm intrigued to go on a canyon ride with you one of these days

The Girl (Amaris) came over this morning with her 2019 MT07 for me to do a seller inspection. She rode it over and I found a few problems. The front tire pressure was 14psi and the rear was 19psi. The chain although lubed had about 2 1/2 “ of free play. So I fixed those things. The throttle play was fine also the clutch free play was fine. I found a bolt missing on the battery mount. It was sitting in the side faring so we installed that. One of the front seat bolts was cross threaded so I ran a chase thread restorer down it and fixed that. Her oil level was too high so I drained out about 2 cups of oil so we could see the level in the site glass. The brake fluid was full and clean. The bike only has 2400 miles on it so brakes were alol good. All the lights worked. All in all the main things were tire pressure and chain slack. She is happy with everything now and text and said the bike rides 100% better. Well it should with those tire pressures. Hopefully the new buyer comes through and buys it. If not she wants to come back and have me install an aftermarket full exhaust that came with the bike when she bought it. Some shop quoted her $1000 to install it!! I said WTF?? I can install it in about 30-45 min. Some shops just want to take advantage of women and it sucks. I will do the install for free just like I did the inspection today.

My Annatori quick shifter showed up today so I installed that. Only took an hour just because the tank, air box and ecu have to come out to get to the coils on the plugs. Will test ride it tomorrow.

Crazy thing is, that's not because she's a woman. Shop rates are absurd. How the hell can an oil change on a bike cost more than one in a truck? They gouge everyone because nobody does work themselves.

I am more than happy to help anyone. I have the tools, lift and the knowledge so why not pass it on. I like to teach also so it’s not just drop it off and leave, it’s you help so you can learn to do it yourself some day.

That's awesome of you. I have no problem paying for a service if I can't or don't want to do it, but I don't trust mechanics these days. You're more likely to get some moron that overfills the bike because he forgot to drain the oil, or doesn't change the filter, or doesn't even bother to check basic items as you are to actually have a competent mechanic properly service your vehicle.

Heck ya. Also helps fill some of that "retirement free time". Even completely clueless bumbling, I couldn't imagine taking $1000 in shop time. Must have been Motoplex or Everett Power sports. Jackasses

I got a phone call last evening form the IBA scorer who is handling the verification of the Ride Around PA that @FreshOldTaco and I did last Friday. He had a couple of questions, easily answered, and informed me our rides were approved! I got the email for it an hour or two later. Congrats to @FreshOldTaco on becoming an IBA member! GPS mileage put us at 1106 miles in slightly over 23 hours with having made a total of 14 stops for fuel, food, or just dated business receipts to document the ride.

I looked into the Ride Around WV. Much of those roads are 2 lane and twisty so the allowance is actually 36 hours. Hmmm.......

Took the ST to work last night because it was beautiful weather. Those morning... not so much. Bike read the ambient temp as low 30s and my seat was frosted.

Still gotta take the truck to work for now.

Thanks Chuck I got the email last night I'm number 85581! So awesome still can't believe I did that ride. Congrats to you as well, another one to add to your list and with a mentor designation too...hopefully makes your application for the IBR look even better.

The WV one looks cool, says it one of the most challenging too. A lot of stops along the way. I told my wife our ride was approved and I'm a "premier" member now and she gave me the side eye haha

Motor Morini at one time was a fairly prominent Italian motorcycle company. They made some smaller displacement V-twins along the lines of Ducati. I have one friend with one, a 350cc sport bike that's really nice looking. Fairly sure this new outfit is Chinese built with a "bought" heritage. That being said I'm reading good things about them.
