    Hi TW,

As the title suggests, I am noticing a front end squeak on my truck after installed a BodyArmor 4x4 HiLine Bumper. It squeaks over some bumps and turns, but I mainly notice it when I get out of the truck (and sometimes when I get in) as the front end moves up. It sounds like it may be primarily on the drivers side. Sometimes it feels like its coming from deeper in the truck and sometimes it feels like its coming from the suspension. I do sometimes hear it on both sides (I think). I haven't had a chance to have someone shake the front end while im under it to pinpoint the squeak.

Not entirely sure if its from the bumper or due to an issue with the suspension but I never heard the squeaking until the bumper was on it.

Some people have stated similar issues and said it was the radiator bracket, their cv axles, the UCA or bushing. In my case it may be any of these things. My CVs have been torn for awhile so maybe that plus the added weight is causing something. The UCA joins look like they are leaking but I am not entirely sure.

Has anyone had this kind of issue before or know what it may be.

I can get any pics needed

    Thanks!

    This and that
Just installed a Greenlane bumper and some rough country flares. Been chasing a “suspension knock” for a while. Thought I had it taken care of, with pushing up the inner liner more, and securing the bottom part of the plastic bumper to the new metal one. Bounced that truck around, squeak knock was gone. But then it’s come back again……just less often.

Had my friend bounce on the front of the bumper while I looked underneath and it definitely is coming from the drivers side, sounds like its coming from inside the CV join. Looks like its time for new CVs

CV joints don’t squeak like that. Look at your shock upper bushing

Sounds like a leaf spring, (I know this is the front end) or like metal on metal. Do you have any of the plastic touching the metal?

Yea after further inspection it is really looking like something off the UCA, potentially one of the bushings. Im checking to see whats covered under the warranty for my suspension (if anything). May try changing out my bushings on my UCA to see if that fixes it but gotta figure out how and also where to get the proper bushings.

Dont think its the UCA anymore. Sounds seems lower. Maybe the LCA but I hit everything with Blaster Dry Lube and the sound is still there. Sounds like its getting worse, becoming unbearable. I may have to have a mechanic look at it if I cant figure it out...
