2011 Tacoma 4 door 4x4, 34 inch MT tires, 80K miles, full long travel, 4:88.1 gears , roughly 500 LBS gear & full size spare.
Just made a trip yesterday of around 200 miles, roughly avg 15 MPG 85/15 Freeway/Streets. Freeway was 50/50 hilly/flat.
Most of the trip was 65MPH in cruise control.
From my zip to Riverside ca is about 110 miles each way, I came home with a 1/4 tank which typically is 6-8 gallons left in tank.

Edit: TRD Cold air intake, with 70MM TB ( urd) and URD exhaust cam gears

How do you like your 4.88 gears compared to stock on that tire size?

Your MPG seems pretty good for all the gear you have on it. How’s the performance of it?

I edited my OP, added it has a trd cai, 70mm throttle body and URD exhaust cam gears. Performance is good, I can just edge ahead of a buddy with a bone stock 2010 taco near copy of mine.
Still on the fence about installing a supercharger.

It is not a guess because all you need to do is zero the trip odometer when you fill up.
The next time you fill up, divide the trip odometer miles by the gallons to top the tank this time.
That is your MPG, per your odometer.
Now, with 37" tires, you may want to correct the miles traveled first.

I run 32" tires and that slows the odometer by 4% over the stock 31" tires. 300 odometer miles is actually 312 real miles or 300 + 4% (12) = 312.
Of course, the 37" tires slow the odometer a lot more making it seem you are getting really bad mileage. I am sure there is a calculator posted on how much to add to your odometer for your tires somewhere on Tacoma World...?

For benefit of some others, to re-interpret your math more conveniently. 312/300=1.04. That is your formula to determine the mileage to use in mpg. If your odo shows 300 miles, times that by 1.04 and divide result by gallons of gas to fill up. Much easier that multiplying 4% and subtracting …

An online tire size calculator is not as accurate as using a gps unit, or gps app, to determine actual distance traveled. For simplicity, drive to 100 miles per the gps unit/app, and divide by miles displayed on odo to determine the ratio to use in mpg calculations.

I just filled up about an hour ago and FINALLY got a tank ran through without getting stuck in bridge construction (Louisville) traffic this week.
I always reset my trip meter when I fill up.
I got 18mpg, on the dot.
My truck is mostly stock, 265/75-16 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws with about a 2" lift.
If I'm rolling down the interstate 80 mph, that drops to about 16-17.

Update: Took a trip to Colorado and amazed at my MPG. First tank moved to 18.5 mpg and the last two tanks 20.5 mpg. Just cruising at 75mph. Maybe she just needed a long road trip (or just getting gas outside of Calif).

Update July 27th: I'm convinced California gas s#*KS (summer blend) driving the same as above and MPG dropped to 16-17 mpg.

Constant speed does wonders. Also, if it can handle the higher altitude, the thinner air offers less wind resistance.

Had my first tank below 24 in several months. Lots of 1st gear hills and very little hwy miles. 22.75. I keep a 2 gal can at the house for if it’s too late for a fill up so adding that to the total it was 455 on 20. (I turn over that can every 6-8 weeks.

Only had the 2.5 gen (2015 DCSB 4.0 PreRunner, stock) for 4 months, but my worst fill-up so far was 14.3 mpg, and my best was 18.8. I might shit a brick if I ever hit 19.
I knew I was gonna get shit mileage when I bought it, but coming from a 96 5 lug 2.4l, I was still like "holy shit."

Around town/rural driving, I average 18.5 with the occasional 15 if I'm bucking a head wind. As good as 20 if I'm on a long haul.
Might be better if I didn't have a rack and lift.
