Yep, same here. My previous truck (2007 ranger) had 208 hp so this Tacoma is more than adequate for what I need.

I would have gladly settled for an SR DCSB MT. Bit nooo, I had to get a premium package to get MT with four doors haha. Thanks Toyota

I’ve had a 2nd, 3rd and now 4th gen Tacoma. The 4th is better in every way. :duel:

There’s at least one factor no owner can testify to yet. Time, mileage and usage will have to pass before the almighty reliability stamp is earned. I’m sure the 4th gen will get there, but it’s gonna be a few years.

also cost of ownership? More and more electronics, all cars are getting more complex for DIY driveway maintenance without more diagnostic tools..

Once again you circle (jerk) back to you having zero interest at all in a 4th gen but you’re still here telling us your current 3rd is adequate…

Amazing how the OP says how the truck feels to HIM and how some here say that he shouldn't feel that way.

Lol "copium"? For what? I had a 2014. Dumped it because it was an outdated turd.

Got a 3rd gen to replace it in 2016. Not sure what I'm "coping"?

The 4th gen is way more advanced and if I was still in the market for a Tacoma I'd have a sweet TRD OR in Underground with all of the toys. Would never look back at an old, outdated dinosaur from 2005.
