Yep, I've spent many hours comparing all those brands, and they all have great looking products. The only one I don't think I've looked at is Outgear. I'll have to check them out.

I don't weld and I want something already powder coated and ready to install. I want high clearance and I like the idea of the wings and am not concerned with having to cut fenders. The Victory bumper looks great and I really like their stuff, but doesn't have those wings. The Backwoods bumper checks all the boxes and I think it looks great, so it has been at the top of my list. In speaking with the rep today I learned they have a 4-5 week lead time. That's also fantastic as some of the others have 16-20 week lead times. That's nuts.

I'm also looking at front bumpers from these companies. I'm not saying that I absolutely need to have bumpers that match, but it is a consideration. I wouldn't put a plate bumper on the rear and tubular on the front or something. At first I liked the C4 high clearance rear bumper, but I'm not crazy about their front bumpers...

I have like 20 browser tabs open that I'm constantly switching between, and I'm sure I'll keep torturing myself with the decision. Someday when I make a decision I'm sure I'll immediately have buyer's remorse, but I'm sure I will be happy when it's on the truck.

Thanks for chiming in on this! Still not sure if anybody around here has experience with Backwoods, but I was pretty happy with the customer service today when I called.

She knows where I stand. She's moving to Sayner, so I doubt this will be an issue going forward. She will be told when she picks the dog up that she WILL contact me before this will ever happen again with any of her dogs.

Yeah I’ll have the Taco. I’m just gonna load up the Grom in the bed and head up there.

We are staying up near Hurry Downs. Out near turn 6 and 7. I think that’s the closest turn at least . I know it’s by a concession stand on a hill.

Is the forecast looking grim? I’m only seeing a possible hour of rain in the morning on Saturday. Maybe my weather app is wrong

Local here has changed late this afternoon to 50% chance of rain from 0800 to 1300 (1PM). With the Sheboygan Vortex, that means it's going to rain from 0800 to at least 1300.

    A little scratchy?

In all seriousness, though, I'm thinking I will probably go coastal if I go full bumper. I guess I'm going to have to make good friends with someone who knows how to weld.:D

I went through an area you'd enjoy on Sunday. Tight and scratchy, and a couple of mud-pits. Fun!

Sounds fun. Where’d you go? Inquiring minds want to know about fun areas!

By the way…I’m sure @pearing would enjoy it on Sunday, and any other day of the week.

    WTF is that?

The only vortex I ever saw growing up in Sheboygan was the smoke at brat frys. And maybe smoke from dobbies.

Been on those trails and my bumper is still on.

Oh ya,, I drive a 2nd gen. No plastic in our bumpers.

It's an old joke around Road America. If there is going to be rain anywhere within 20 miles, the Sheboygan Vortex steers it right over Road America.

Second gen. Blah blah blah blah blah. :lalala::der:

Changed again...back down to 23% chance of rain from 0700 to 1200, 90% chance of clouds until 2100. Still going to pack my rain jacket.

Been going to RA for the IMSA weekend in August for 8 or 9 years now and camping there. Never had a dry weekend. Yes, that applies for rain and booze.

View from the camper at our spot at turn 3 three years ago...

I've been working on a few. I'm thinking I'd be open to taking orders if any of you guys are interested... bumpers don't grow on trees, right?
