I used some aluminum backed rubber sealing tape like you use around exterior windows to seal the neck up on my washer reservoir where it had deteriorated. Still intact now about 5 years later.

The easiest way to tell is if you have the long filler neck sticking up off the tank.
If not, It's not col weather spec.
If you do, then you need to know if your truck has a fluid level sensor.

8531504040 - Standard Non-Cold Spec. (No filler neck)

    8531504050 - Has NO sensor
8531504060 - Does have the Sensor.

ChatGTP isn't that good. It's "good" but it's still dumb.

Take a look at what that same site says....
It says EVERY one of the part numbers I listed above fits your truck.

Again, You'll need to pop your hood and look to see if you have a filler neck.
    It will be obvious........

Not much to go on, unfortunately.

You might want to get a new air filter, though.

Did this last year, I'd go with a RockAuto aftermarket. Important points from that thread:

    - Generally two types, cold weather package (with the level sensor hole in the bottom) one without.
    - OEM ones do not come with a cap, aftermarket ones do, and most of them come with a new pump.
    - The neck from the aftermarket ones DO separate at the reservoir, OEM does not, but you still can't buy just the neck which is the part that always breaks.

I'd like to get in on this one too. Just removed my unit yesterday. Neck has been in bad shape for a long time, replacing doesn't seem practical based on cost, and I appreciate the exchanges above though not sure what I will do next.
Wish I could just replace the neck.

    Good Morning,
My Taco is a 2000 (here's the full range) 2.7 lt, pre-runner, extra cab, SR5, rear wheel drive.
Appreciate any insight, really want to put her back together.

Haha Yup, the OEM reservoirs are off the hook. The irony is the aftermarket ones do separate at the neck but you still can't get them separately of course.

I can't see the bottom of yours, but it doesn't look like it has the level sensor which is a bigger hole facing downward. Get one from Rock Auto. More info here.

Edit: or maybe it does have the level sensor, is that the edge of the sensor grommet I see or is it just a plug? In that case you do want the "cold weather package" version.
