Hey everyone, I was thinking about how paying 2k in rent for a 500 sq ft apartment is theft, makes stealth camping in my Tacoma camper seem much more appealing. Anybody do any stealth camping in socal, and have some general tips, good spots, etc?

Check out Pacoima. The streets there are perfect for camp outs.

Canopy, fitted seat covers, OBA with self leveling air bags, 100w solar, dual Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms, side & rear LED work/FU lights, CB, cell booster. 7x16 cargo conversion, 3" lift, 7'x6.5' fold down aluminum rear deck.
If you are thinking full time living in the truck, do an easy trial. Go to Walmart or HD and get a roll of painters tape. Tape out a section in your apartment the same size as the cab and bed of the truck. Live in that space for a week or two. Use the toilet as you need, but put $15 in a can every time you take a shower. If you have washer and dryer, put $10 in the can every time you do a load of laundry. Cut your fridge/freezer space by 75% (to simulate that you put a 12v unit in your truck), use only your stove top (no microwave, no oven).
Don't forget to hit your head with a pot wrapped in a towel every time you stand up in the taped off area.
I live full time in a 7x16 cargo conversion and I would not want to stay in something smaller for long term. My next trailer will be at least a 24ft.

This is funny. I plan on getting a gym membership for showers, and i work 50 hours a week so the evenings i would just hang out at the library, starbucks etc. My truck would be used only for sleeping most of the time. I don't have a washer/dryer. No kids or pets, and we've got some of the best weather in the country. The biggest hurdle to all this is finding a few good safe quiet spots to sleep and rotate.
