What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

RAV4 radio knobs…then he’s done.

 

I wanted to show you pictures of the wear that the cover causes, just so you are not alarmed one day.
this is the wear the cover causes on the tailgate, which I was not expecting, i think i till try to pull up on the cover and retighten it down. also the paint will start to come off the track over time.

 

Who did you write/email to get new end caps? I have the same cover and always wondered what I would do if I lost one of the end caps.

 

how you make it compatible with the stock jbl head unit?

 

Strongly considering new shoes. My driver/read tire is losing air again, already plugged once. Toyota will honor a warranty and replace the Wrangler Territory AT but they need to order it (2-3 days) at one dealer and the other dealer is too far for a ride back.

Pulled the spare which is 2x the tread of the others with 25k miles. God might be prompting me to buy SL-rated Falken Wildpeak AT4 or C-rated BFG K02.

Cheapest is obviously mounting the spare and letting Toyota dealer with the Territory in stock take the full day if needed, but still the "nudge nudge" from higher powers ...

 

I didn't... The audio in my truck has taken a little over a year to get me where I'm at now. First was speaker replacement. Then new HU, Pioneer WC6600NEX. Then another speaker upgrade. And the final step was the new sub box/amp rack. Now the tunes in my truck are amazing..

darn. I sometimes I wish I didn't get the premium jbl. Not only does it suck, but the head unit makes it difficult to upgrade certain things.

 

You can always upgrade the head unit. I got this to replace the JBL head unit: https://trailgridpro.com/products/alpine-ilx-f511-plug-play-bundle-16-23-tacoma

 

i wrote directly to the company who makes it, they sent me two sets, i fibbed and told them both were broken in the box, they sent me extra sets.
I explained i ordered it from them and shouldn't have broken parts right out of the box for something that cost $ 1000.

Can you still change all the vehicle settings on that HU?

 

They are Alpha Rex, I forget the specific model. I don't believe they make them anymore...or have since replaced them with a newer style/model. I actually get quite a bit of compliments on them.

 

As far as I know, is there a specific setting that you are curious about? I can certainly check to see if it is there.

 

Not sure how I feel about these steering wheel covers, might be going on the 2nd gen

 

UPS delivery brought me a package ...don't know when ill install but hopefully soon
