Well damn, idk what to do then. They had a good rating, but idk if I want them working on it now.

 

That sucks.
We've even had nickel sized hail that has dented panels. Not cool.

 

That's a decent price for one that clean. Mine was not close to being that nice and I got $8,000 for it.

 

They're pretty cool little rigs.

I would want a 2000 though, not 01 or 02.

 

Yeah they seem to be coming back to earth a bit, it'll be interesting to see if it climbs a lot more. Its a tempting one.
Going to look at a LX on Sunday, so the ending of that auction is neck and neck.

What makes you prefer the '00? Just curious.

 

Locker isn't available after 2000 in a 3rd Gen

 

LX (3rd gen) for longer trips. I was looking at GXs for a bit and just couldn't get into them.
I'll always like a 3rd gen Runner though, just like I'll always like a 1st gen Tacoma.

 

I'd go look at it with them, maybe watch a water pump replacement video beforehand so you know what you're looking at if you haven't seen it before.
Make them show you exactly whats wrong, maybe there is something you missed.
Don't let them talk you into something you don't need though

 

Yeah, 3rd Gen 4R felt so similar to a 1st Gen Tacoma which is why the transition was easy

 

Does ARB not make a locker that works for 01+?

 

Something nice about the size. You ever regret getting rid of it, or the GX is filling its shoes nicely?

My preference was just having one from the factory already that's all

Especially if dropping over 12k for it

Mine ran me $2,250 and it was a one owner, clean rig with rear locker

 

Never regret getting rid of it, because it opened me up to the 80 series

In fact, I thank the 4R for doing that

The GX is just really great to drive, especially for long trips

If I had a choice again from a 3rd Gen 4R or the GX, easily would pick the GX
