I recently ordered a Lomax Tonneau cover in matte black for $865 on the Forum with Luke.

What is the consensus on this cover long term? It is aluminum, has any one had issues with it denting easily?

    Water resistance issues?

    Give me your take. Thanks.

I've had mine installed for a few weeks. Much nicer than my previous Proven Ground plastic/soft tri-fold cover and does better job of keeping out water. A little still dribbles in during rainstorms, but I haven't really tried to add extra seals. The aluminum panels are sturdy. Not sure I'd stand on them, but short of that they should be able to hold decent weight. I don't have any concerns with them denting, unless maybe a 50lb rock was dropped on it (even then, they don't seem like they would easily dent). Also seems really secure. There is a post in another thread where a thief tried to get into a bed with a Lomax and only succeeded in bending up the rear corner (probably with a pry bar).

I’ve had mine for over a year. Very rugged and well built. I love this cover. It just does everything I need it to do. No water coming in from the front of the bed. Just a little from around the tailgate but no biggie.

one year later and mine has been off and on at regular intervals - I can single-handedly remove or install now in under 3 minutes easily and it takes very little storage space.

Water does get in a little, but it's more of a dribble than a torrent.

Fits like a glove - the install instructions could be a little clearer with regards to which way around the rails get installed, but very happy with the purchase so far.

That’s good to hear it just came in today and was gonna install it after work. Glad to hear all the good reviews so I can justify my purchase.
