My hood is stupidly quiet..
But @ 0730 I hear gobs and gobs of sirens come in here; we never hear sirens out this way..

Eventually I get off my ass and walk down the street to find this:


Three different fire departments.
Like 10+ trucks
Thick black smoke pouring out from between those pines.

No one was hurt
Wife went to take the kids to school, heads to the garage to find it engulfed in flames..
Don't know what caused it yet
That house was less than a year old tho

I agree, I recently started drinking a little bit after 24 years of no drinking. Been drinking 7/7’s and whiskey sours and still trying to acquire a taste for beer.

 

Trying to acquire at the moment.

That's a helluva response for a garage fire

I can't help wondering if it was caused by an EV.
We're finding out just how hard it is to suppress EV fires.

Anyway, glad nobody was hurt.

 

Oh the whole house is destroyed, it just started in the garage.

I'm wondering about the EV thing too - she had a new Chevy traverse looking thing; I can't recall if it was an EV but it is sitting in the driveway burnt to a crisp.

It also seemed to take them a very long time to put it out + they came back mid/afternoon with more water trucks.


We have great volunteer firefighters/EMT guys around here!! Plus this was probably the fire of the year for them.
