Cloudy morning here, but looks like a cooler day…nice!
Kettlebell day! Then play in the garden and time to uncover our tiny Casita and get it cleaned up and ready to go camping.
Here’s wishing everyone a great day! Get outside and soak in some vitamin D…it’s free!

@Oldie2007 I really like your aircraft pictures.

Good morning. Like a few of us in this thread I worked at a gas station, Esso, after school 3 nights a week and on Saturday. Great times for $1.25 an hour plus tips. Yes, people did tip us back in the day. You would do a lot for a 10-cent tip.

This Sunday I am cooking a Latin style pork shoulder which means I start the process on Saturday, and it is a little more intense cook than just smoking a regular pork shoulder. If you have an interest in the process and want to try to make one give me a PM and I will send you the process.

    I cant keep up. :(
Back from Miami last night and headed up to the farm today. More interior stuff...installing a whole house water filter for the well water. A few more doors, more trim...still a ton to do. Need to mow a few acres as well.
    Happy Friday! Be safe.

:pccoffee: Still Morning Porch Pals & Sue! What a WONDERFUL raining thunderstorm morning (with nothing severe!); got up to thunder and rain, went to the metal roof sunroom to doze in the recliner - got woke for breakfast - did it again - woke up when it slowed - did it again when it started! Woke back up 11:30! 1.72" means no watering yard or pots. Sun is now out, so when it dries out a bit, I'll go replace the smoker fan and controller, and investigate the pool light. Only 75* now, high maybe 86*. I'll put a bathing suit on to do the work, as the pool is still 83*.

Can happily report the smoker is now operating as intended. App too. Really was just bad parts for whatever reason, not operator error.

    Afternoon all:

Nice looking largemouth there Harry, bet that there's bigger ones in that pond unless you caught them already! :D
There are small abandoned slate quarries in our area that hold some really nice bass, catching them is not too easy, one of the better ways is using a really small sunny or bluegill as bait, almost all of them are now posted! :(
Some of those quarries were also great places to swim in the summer, the water was always cold!

Just got back home from the car show / cruise in and had an awesome time . I had alot of people look at my Camaro and ask lot's of questions . It's also really funny watching people swarm around my Camaro when pulled into park and when i left to head home

Some of the questions I was getting was cam specs and I had some people thought I had a solid roller cam and were surprised that I had a 600" lift Hydraulic roller. Some people couldn't believe I had a spool in the rear axle

There was quite a few Pro Street cars and a owner of one of them told me my sbc sounds absolutely wicked at idle

Here's a few of the 200 plus car's there this evening

 evening gang Lazy day today but did get a tomato plant replanted in a new pot - the other plant went nutz and took over the whole pot. Hummers have more food and other feeders cleaned and ready for next time. Also checked in the "nursery" and the canna lilies look ok but the elephant ear plants all look worse for wear :fingerscrossed: they all survive. I need to make a trellis for my cucumbers to climb... or just let them all (have 12 plants in a 17 gallon bucket) crawl along the fence....

Great pics. A trip down memory lane for me. Always been a big Camaro fan. I grew up driving and building muscle cars, miss those days.

@US Marine Thank you for the pics. I especially liked the 67 1/2 Camaro.

Good morning. Lots to do today and I am getting an early start.

Sounds like some tasty meals ahead Susan! My spinach is already bolting.

IMG_0165.jpg This would be my choice. I missed buying an IH woody in college for a whopping $75! More than a semester tuition!
