Suspended weight over stock

I recently compiled the additional suspended weight over stock, added to my 2016, most of which goes largely unseen. I ignored the minor differences from aftermarket part swaps.

I obtained the weights from manufacturer publication or FedEx shipping weights

Steel rock sliders 130 lbs
Steel engine, transmission, transfer case skids 120 lbs
Cat guards 10 lbs
Steel gas tank 35 lbs
Flush tonneau cover 56 lbs
Bed mat 38 lbs

Total 389 lbs.

 

I did this a few years ago. Except i just weighed my truck with its current configuration and normal loadout on a scale at a scrap yard. I was right at 840lbs over Toyota's factory spec’d curb weight. Stuff adds up quick.

 

Added
Front stump bumper, reinforcement brackets, and winch, 115 lbs
Spare tire skid DIY 15 lbs
Hitch receiver skid 12 lbs
Total 531 lbs.

when i weighed my truck to get a more heavy duty suspension i came in at Gross 5920
Front 3100
Rear 2820 with only half tank of fuel and no wife lol. The toytec lift was not cutting it anymore.
