I'm not surprised the rear suspension isn't better, but I am kind of shocked the front isn't pogo sticking on you. But hey, that's great! Definitely recommend the 14t front sprocket first, that'll be the biggest difference out of everything, but remember it'll throw your speedometer off by about 10%. I'm also surprised by the brakes, I've had no problem locking front or rear up on mine, the limits always been wheel traction for me, not brake ability.

Are you short on time and have to take the interstates? Riding the small roads is way more scenic and enjoyable on the bike.

Well we were on our way to the zona rosta Italian festival and wellll my buddy's old gold wing snapped a timing belt so it's dead in the water... Hopefully no bent valves but our fun day kinda went down the shitter...

If one of you Kawasicko’s want new grips, I have a set of ProTaper pillow top lites with a K throttle tube and grip glue.

I went with ODI lockons instead.

    Pm and we’ll work a deal.IMG_4325.jpg

The suspension is definitely squishy, but it’s acceptable for now while I get used to it. I went over some rougher streets around town and the rear was doing most of the work but super comfy. It might have a lot to do with the famously comfy couch of a seat that comes stock too though, so if I change seats I might feel what the suspension is doing on its own. Ordered the sprocket yesterday so I’ll be installing that today. I have to remember that the monkey went through some changes in the past two years so a lot of the resources out there are for the older generation with the oil spinner case. I rewatched your video today too so I should be good.

Well sonofabitch. Seems it came stock with a 14t front sprocket. Guess I’ll have to order a rear.

Huh, who knew. I figured it would have been the same gearing/ratios as the Grom, whoops!

He can only do about 5 hours on a bike due to past injuries. On top of that, we've both driven the smaller highways when delivering cell materials with our CDLs, and they are lousy with wildlife and frequently have road damage. Hell, the interstates frequently have damage, but generally less deer/elk/antelope.

Edit: This route also let's us hit ethanol free fuel stations.

Yup always, I find myself having more fun on open dirt roads exploring, trails are fun but way more work and if you break something you're so screwed.

This time had sharp branches that had me bail and turn around.

I'll likely evolve into a twin ADV bike soon, I wish finances were more simple, but at least I have a bike now to scratch my itch.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
What’s up bruthas?! I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to give you all some killer news, I just acquired another 30 acres and about to start up a motorcycle campground.
It will have a Pavilion, Bathhouse (6 units with showers), and I will start with 2-3 small bunk cabins. The rest of the sites will be setup for primitive camping (fire pits and such, but I will have a lean-to to park your bike under or to be able to get out of the rain.

    I will also be adding a 1000 yd gun range…cause I can.

You know I appreciate any input that is solid, so if any of you want to come and stay; I will offer your first stay free of charge (in return for some good feedback)

If anyone has already stayed a such a place, let me know what you liked or didn’t like about the campground.

    thanks y’all…brapppp

just a couple of things tbh
Had a pretty fun weekend minus my buddy's bike breaking down.. (posting his thumbs up photo since idk lol) rode a good amount over the weekend as well! 3-4 hours on Saturday and about 5-6 hours today not in long runs just lots of small trips to different areas about 30mins apart each time.

Got some korea desert got the gf an axolotl charm for the back pack at the strawberry festival at the vail mansion. Plus got a new CPU for her PC. Then went to a few other places that tbh I don't remember on Saturday lol.

Sunday we did our usual meetup with my buddy and ride down to blip then went and got some food and coffee then went to the Italian festival and sadly his bike shut off.. told me "my bike just died" what? " It just shut off in the round about" pulled over and took a look and yup it shredded the timing belt (1 of them) we are hopeful it's just a belt and not bent valves ... But wait and see. We did go to the festival since he was able to borrow my trailer and told us to go on and have a good time. Had some good food and some massive lemonades. Live music and a bunch else was a good time. Then went home and stopped in down town to get some hummus that's really good. Then back home lol this bolt has been a great purchase loving it every day! I gotta do an oil change on it thou and flush the brake system out but other then that it's been great! I bought it with 4400 miles and it's already at 4900ish? I've been riding it a lot! Especially since the gf moved in.
