Seems almost everyone is working on sliders this spring!

Here's my entry, another coat of paint then they'll be ready for the installation!

Oh there will be some mods all right
Not sure if it is still in production or not but I remember Toyota used to actually make a rubberized interior to replace the carpet for second gens

In the end I went with rustoleum self etching primer and rustomeum industrial black paint.

I’m hoping the thinner paint will mean that after it starts getting chips, the paint wont be strong enough to hold water and allow it to travel behind it unnoticed. Just theories, hopes, and dreams.

Cool, that's what I just did too. We shall see how well it holds up. I guess it all depends on how much we follow Pat.

I'm planning for that. Just wondering how long they need to dry before the boltage process.

Should say on the can. I would think 6-12 hours should work.

    Ya, last year slider scratches.
Been meaning to get to it.
Truck really never saw any road salt last winter.
Two trips to Tigerton yet this year plus hopefully other adventures.
    Looks like later this fall.

When installed my sliders is after I had the frame inspection and they that goop in the boxed in section, ya a bit messy.
What I did to hold the nut was I taped the end of a wrench.

It sure is wonderful to get all these helpful hints on installing mods from some of the same people that encourage you to purchase it the first place.

This is great and timely info since I’m about to do that to mine!

the Cali Raised instructions are pretty lame so I’ll have to check out instructions from some of the others.

Question for the group. Have seen several posts by folks that have had their truck weighed. Where do you go to weigh your Taco?

Truck stop with a Cat Scale. It's only a few bucks. Or, if you know someone that works in a trucking yard, maybe they'll let you in the gate to use their scale. Gravel/rock pits are another option.
