    I have seen more Tundra Pros than Lexus LS with the 3.4tt on the road.

    May numbers will probably be outcthis week. Did Toyota sell more Tacomas in May than April? Most likely, I have been seeing more 4Gs on the road.

    I haven't noticed as many 3G Tacomas on the road as last year. They are still everywhere I just don't see as many.

    I'm seeing Super Duties listed with close to $4k off. Says dealer discount but they might be stacking incetives, and 1.9 apr 36 mo on 24 F150.

    Nothing that has come out recently has changed my mind about getting a 4G Tacoma or any Toyota/Lexus vehicle. I'm actually thinking of getting a '24 Tacoma Pro instead of waiting for the '25 and then trading it in for a redesigned/upgraded '26/27 Tundra Pro.

    I bet the Tundra issues will push fence buyers toward the Tacoma. Probably already happening.

    If you weren't on a forum, how would you know about the Tundra recall? What is the percentage of truck buyers that are on a truck forum?

    My guess is less than 5%. But I’m probably way off.

    Toyota picked one hell of a week to break the recall news.

    There has to be potential Tundra buyers who have yet to hear about the recall.

    Toyota dealers never have the trucks I want on the lot anyway.

    It's my understanding the recall comes up on the screen.

    I was talking about how a new truck buyer who doesn’t currently have a Tundra. If they are researching for 2024s especially via Toyota’s website they’re not going to find out about the recall of ‘22s and ’23s. In other words, it may not have much of an effect on Tundra sales. Except of course the leftover 80 that can’t be sold.

    The vast majority of prospective car buyers are doing some Google homework before hand, and Tundra issues would pop right up. We found out about the Rav4 HV cable corrosion issue on a forum (but went ahead with the purchase) and I certainly was looking through TW before I bought my '19. Some will move ahead with a '24 Tundra purchase but personally I would not.

    Acceleration = 88/8sec or 11 feet/second^2 (60mph = 88fps). If you are driving up a 2.5 degree incline, multiply the sine of 2.3deg by 32.2 to get acceleration loss of 1.4sec. New time = 88/(11+1.41) = 7.1sec.
