I feel like I made a bad choice in taking off last Tue- thru Fri, the weather and the local machine shop and Summit didn't allow me to get the most from my time off. I wanted to be wrapping up this shit show but instead, I'm only about 1/3 of the way through it. Delays beyond my control, but none the less frustrating.

Thank you! He had a blast and did very well with us. He loved hiking, jumping from rock to rock and splashing in the creeks!

Ugh, I'm having flashbacks on when I did my kitchen. It was a tedious job!

My kitchen isn't as nice as yours, but I'm not ripping everything out since it's functional...

    morning all

Your kitchen looks nice, good color choice!

The jobs terrible. Lots of patience and making sure everything looks good every step of the way. I’m ready for it to be over but have 3 more sections of cabinets to do.
I might try to see if my sprayer can handle the primer. That’ll speed things up if it works but I’m not sure the sprayer can.

I'm actually getting ready to repaint them again

I used an oil base primer and Benjamin Moore Advance (almost $80 a gallon) with a microfiber roller. It almost looks sprayed on. Best paint I've used. The worst part was cleaning everything. Between kitchen grease and 58 years of Winston Salem cigarettes it was nasty. Rest of the house was that way too :puke:

Lol, I can imagine. cleaning and sanding and cleaning is a pain in the ass. Spraying 3 panels, 2 drawers, 2 doors and the frame took all of 20 min. Though 4 hour repost time. I went with Sherwin Williams extreme bond primer and the their emerald urethane trim enamel and so far it’s been nice to work with. Paint has gotten ridiculous expensive… I guess just like everything else…

I bought a cheap hvlp sprayer and it’s been good to me so far. Under 50 on Amazon.

You may have had better luck and skills than me but I can’t ever get a smooth finish rolling on, regardless of the paint or roller I try.

It's in the paint mostly, but also the type of roller. The stuff levels out ridiculously well. However, I used to have a side job painting so there is that

That liquid shit they're using in MD is some nuclear level brine! They don't use that 15 minutes over the border here in PA besides the mountain.

That stuff is the worst. It’s the only reason I had my undercarriage professionally coated.

I used to say that's the reason why Maryland roads were always better in the snow, but at least in Washington County this past winter they were seriously lacking.

Interesting. I didn’t spend any time driving through Washington County this winter, If I recall correctly.

I feel like we haven’t had more than 12 inches of snow total the last few winters

That shit is not good for the car. But I believe ocean air is even worse. Vehicles we owned that have spent time near the ocean are rustier than ones that have not.
