Not sure if you will have electric out there or not. but if not, make sure if any generators are allowed, they are the quiet ones only.

I get that. I am cautioning that mixing the firearms with the camping might go poorly in the camping side of things. The RO won't be on duty at 10 PM when JimBobJoe is 8 beers in and wants to show Daisy Duke his new peashooter he plans to use at the range in the morning. I've been around too many people who can't camp without getting drunk, and having a range there will just encourage them to bring a firearm along.

Bias warning: I hate alcohol and avoid "social" events that include it, but that bias is not where this caution comes from. The last thing you need is a negligent discharge or worse, an accidental inury/death on the property because of some boozer not keeping his booger hook off the bang button.


It's your deal, so you set your rules. I just want you to be successful and avoid any headaches.

 

Well boys, looks like I'm gonna be picking up an Africa Twin sometime this week!

A coworker is selling his to fund the self-driving upgrade on his Tesla and cleaning out the stable, since he has like 6 bikes crammed in a 1 car garage. Test rode it on Saturday and it was such a sweet ride vs my KTM and my Triumph. Def a much bigger bike though. Already has all the beefy skids and bars, and comes with Mosko Moto panniers as well so it's basically turn key.

Most importantly...the wheels are gold!

Side benefit is it will make all the travel I want to do in the San Juans, etc easier because bikes get to skip the ferry lines, which due to things we can't talk about on TW, are atrocious these days.

 

Plus, as a commercial operation, trying to get insurance for motorcycles and booze and guns together is gonna be hella expensive if you can find it at all.

I fucking love skipping to the front of a ferry line. Extended family has property out on Guemes Island and skipping all the line gives me a shit eating grin every time. Congrats on the new bike.

 

I'll have to find a reason to come your way and explore the east side. Got some family in Yakima, so would make for a good basecamp.

I do, but I actually need to list the CB500X. It serves the exact same purpose as the Super Tenere.

No. Zero interest in the sport bikes of any size. I don't like the rearward controls.

 

haha i know just joking around. what about getting a little crf300l? something for light duty trails to rip around on and the st for actual riding on trips and such?

 

I don't have a lot of interest in trails that I can't take the ST down. Maybe that'll change, but I doubt it. To expensive to insure and license two.
