Wasn't uphill the whole ways though, if it was at all. I'd say around the last 1/3 of the pull was downhill. We do know it can hit in the 7.X second range from other videos, which is what the normal iForce can do.

I know the pro is heavier and taller than a TRD OR, so I may wait to test a Max model. But I'm just not seeing the Max lineup to be worth the upcharge

I kinda like the red and the seats, the Pro is such a niche trim that is so far out of my price range that I don't have to worry about either though.

I'm looking at the TRD OR and debating going heated seats only, upgrade package, or premium package. They knew how to con us by reserving certain features for higher packages now

I would imagine prospective buyers of a 24 Tundra would probably browse YouTube and come across videos with failed engines on them too.

Well... you were either told something by someone that didn't know, or were lied to. You can turn the fake engine sound off with the Carista app.

Does the fake engine noise in the Tundra stop when the engine spins a bearing?

All manufacturers need to walk away from the fake engine noise. Gimmicks look worse when there are real problems.

For real. Too many Bros on the design team. Toyota needs to worry about the gnarly engine noises that are not fake.

Did you read what I said. I said my sales girl told me Toyota Canada didn't tell the sales team about it .But they did tell them the Tundra had that feature . There was no being lied to , it was info that was not passed along .

I like a good sounding engine and exhaust note. Using the Tacoma for example. Toyota installs an optional under hood sound insulator, Toyota also pipes in simulated engine or exhaust sounds into the cabin.

Do customers want engine sounds or do they want quite in the cab?

One of my first things I do with my new Taco is turn off the fake engine sounds.

I thought I saw a manual with the intergrated brake controller. The picture of the brake control I saw the truck also looks like it has a leather shift boot.

Having a completely quiet interior would be too expensive/heavy vs "white noise" to mask/change the engine sounds to something that is (objectively) more pleasant.

I don't expect or want a completley quite interior, I want to hear if something goes wrong.

I don't want to be paying for sound insulation and artifical sounds on the same vehicle. That's not money well spent.

Some guy in NY had his mirror stolen. That’s just ridiculous. Tacoma Catalytic Converters are no longer the hot item it’s the mirrors now /s
