Never been on dirt on a moto in my life; RIGHT TO BDR!

Foolproof plan!

Not opposed to it, just need a bit of experience first.

 

Gonna go pick it up this week probably with the good weather coming in, but here's one as a teaser. Older photo so doesn't have all the skids, etc on.

Gotta get the leg gripper pads and the mosko moto panniers it came with mounted prior to riding it down from Bellingham area but thatll be easy peasy.

 

My advice is try to take an offroad class, especially since you'll be on a 500lb beast. I took one years and years ago and it was the most I've learned in a day, ever.

 

if you bring it back to the best coast, you can do the MABDR, which is mostly paved I dont like it though.

And remember, because it was an easy trail in the truck, doesnt mean its an easy trail on the bike. You have 2 less wheels, and more to think about like balancing

 

Oh yeah, already been absorbing all the youtube lessons so I can practice in parking lots and stuff between formal instruction. Usually goofing around in parking lots is how I've made the lessons click, just from endless repetition. Worked with MTBs, motos should follow the trend.

I took a free "class" at someone's field. I wanted to practice wheelies and going over logs etc. But it was slow speed cornering. Not that that isnt important, but its not what I was hoping for.

 

then maybe its "Beast Coast"

 

ive been wanting to do one just to learn new things but my upper body strength kinda sucks from my accident so idk how well i can truly do... minus ya know just riding around a bit lol

 

I've been wanting to do this myself...seems like there's a lot to gain from those classes.

 

whats this coast thing you two are talking about? i just see corn and some cows!!

 

Well @spencermarkd is in a coastal state and still sees both of those so

Even rivers have shorelines...

 

i mean the ones we have just slowly fall way because limestone crap lol

 

Are you still liking these? Rode around this weekend in my Asolo backpacking boots but def want to sturdier footwear if getting serious about this ADV thing. Do they fit pretty accurately, or are they a size-up/down scenario?
