Wasn't trying to be condescending. Just a bit of a cheeky poke. He's getting his licks in; but, in my defense I wheel at a different level than most in here. Some of us are in Algebra I, some are in Diffy Q and everything in between. The level of play isn't going to look the same. Neither are the risks of damage etc. I don't look to hurt my truck and those that have been with me on trail know that. When the margine for error is low things get bent-oh well, cost of doing business.

Both and maybe cook up some Indian or Thai food. That way Mary can find out for herself just how good we ate in Moab.

Let me check with the boss. Busy until mid week next week-Tigerton then a camp, but should have a couple days before we leave for Oregon.

Trash talk is all part of the fun. I’ve been a lot of places and managed to avoid any significant damage. At a certain point, it makes more sense to get a FJ or 4Runner or SxS vs try to prove i can make it with my truck. Especially now that they’ve discontinued the 5.7, I don’t have any desire to get too crazy with it as what I have is definitely a unicorn.

Here’s the low res version of my travel map. I’ll be hitting state #48 this summer - all via my 2017 Tacoma or 2019 Tundra. Also planning to do Alaska in the Tundra in the next couple years.

I remember a different Mark Twain adventure when a bunch of us ended up on an ATV course. That was a good time

That was the same adventure. We were with the group all day and that evening Rich and I camped in the rain and did more adventuring in the forest the second day.

    You missed the point.

I will also say that you are wrong: to go to the next level you need to be willing to suffer some damage. Trucks that go offroad have scars. The skill set isn't about some mental damage limiter in your head, its about knowing you and your rigs actual limitations. To move on you need to push those limits. You don't get better at welding, math or fishing by talking about it.

I am sure the @Shellshock is bigger, badder and radder than I will ever be in every way... I was just poking innocuous fun at him. Sorry. I honestly didn't think it was that bad by anyones standards, but it has clearly been a rough week on here. I am out-I will kindly fuck off and see you at Tigerton where we can see whose bumper comes off first as I intend to push my limits to get better at what I like to do!

@pearing, you're not wrong. You definitely wheel on another level than me (for example). But, it's not because of your willingness to damage your vehicle. It's because of your ability to tackle obstacles that scare the shit out of me and come out unscathed (usually ;)).
