The prices they are charging for these trucks it should be extremely quiet inside the cab.

The fact that you need go spend like 7+k for the premium package to get more insulation is a joke.

 

Since the discussion is cabin noise and we've been comparing the choices in the mid-size segment I thought I'd share the latest from The Topher. Later in the video he gets a bit loose. 10:00 minute mark it's more interesting.

Took a 24 Tacoma for a ride this weekend and it was making more noise than when I started and the salesman was like I have never heard that before.

 

lol... prolly stolen by another tacoma owner. I was at the dealership asking about buying mirrors with flashers the other day. said my vin isn't allowed to buy them. I guess I'll just steal someone's.

 

Hello all, I've had a 2024 OR for 30 days now. That turbo is pretty fun to drive. The suspensions feels amazing at all speeds. I'm definitely getting better mileage however coupled with the easier to speed with motor and the smaller gas tank I find myself filling up half a day sooner. What I don't Iike after having some time to lookat it is the rear half of the body. The back doors ate short and the bed looks short compared to the front half which looks like a full sized truck. So I feel like I'm driving a mullet or duck. The back seats are pointless. I only need it for my 90lb dog but even she has space issues compared to the 3rd gen. I don't like that the side steps don't come off. And for the final kicker. It's currently in thw shop because we think the ac clutch is making a chirping noise when engaging. So far I like the truck and all the internet haters should probably go drive one first. I traded my 2022 Sr tss package for it and I dont regret it. Also only paid 44,500 out the door. They originally wanted 52,000. It is not the premium package. They also bought my 2022 Sr with 30000 miles for 35500$ I feel like I got a pretty good deal but it took a lot of haggling. Let's hope this ac chirp goes away. Chime in if you are having the same issues. Basically their is a chirp that sounds like a bad bearing or serpentine belt. Tech says it sounds like ac clutch.

 

What kind of noise exactly?

 

What upgrade packages/add-ons did you get for the OR if you dont mind my asking? Any experience towing?

I don’t believe they knocked 10k off sticker and gave you 35k for a 22 SR.

That's just bullshit, it's a part for crying out loud.

 

I couldn’t even get a dealer to give $35,000 for my TRD OR Premium with 23k miles.

 

They originally quoted me 52k for the truck and30 for my trade in. I laughed and started walking out. I did not get the premium package so they were originally trying to stiff me.

 

Here it is inside the dealership. I laughed when I saw it today. Listed for the same price I paid for it, whit an extra 20000 miles on it.

 

I don't think their were any upgrades other than window tint and wheel locks. Just posted my quote from thw dealer.

Dude, always buy a car on the last day of the month and if you really want to save be prepared to take what's on the lot. The manager was so pissed he didn't even congratulate me or shake my hand after we agreed. Never saw him or the sales guy again.
