Yes, prune them. It is not uncommon for figs. If you wait to prune, you will notice a difference between the live part and dead part of the stalk. Live will be green and brown, dead will be gray. If I trim in summer, I trim just short of live part, so it does not bleed. In winter, when sap is down, I trim to the live part.

    Leave em alone.
Figs needs lots of warmth and sun to grow, they’re barely waking up.
Soil temperature also is a trigger for growth.

Prune dead branches later in the summer when they’re all flushed out so you can identify what’s actally alive or dead.

My last in-ground fig barely started its growth spurt in July, lol.

Yeah mighty cold for figs. Once again didn't break 60°F again today.
    I'll just leave them alone.

My jubilee corn is just sprouting. Woo-who. Indian corn not yet

I ran outside and pruned my jostaberries, gooseberries, black currants and elderberries it’s been such a tropical spring they are growing like crazy. All growing into each other. Nuts! This between atmospheric rivers.

Ate a green gooseberry- wow pure acid sour. They ripen red and tasty though. Third year. The plant is extremely healthy and rigorous

Then ate some more honey berries. Good and healthy but would need not say pure sugar or honey

Last two days worth. Had some stewed and sautéed a couple times. Took a bag to work today and gave it away. Have declared war on squash bugs. Inspecting plants every other day and it seems to be working.

Rained Sunday and this morning. You can’t beat rain for growth.

I am not sure how viral it is now but my mom made it for decades. One year she made a few loafs and added some cinnamon to the recipe. It was incredible, it tasted amazing. I mean it was "win a baking contest worthy!". I asked her if I could have the recipe. She told me there was no recipe, she just threw in whatever she had on hand. :annoyed:

For me the zucchini does two main things, keeps it very moist and give the illusion that it is healthy to eat!

    I don't have a garden per say.
Every year around the house, in between other stuff, I'll drop some veggies just to see if they'll grow.
Yay if they do. Don't care if they don't.
Had so much zucchini last year I gave a bunch away and I got sick of eating zucchini bread. lol

It is good with chocolate chips and some cacao powder added.

Have some pumpkins and cucumbers started this year.
